Yeah you can get one for around $80 to $100 dollars! For some reason GM decided to run their diagnostics through the factory radio, door chime, etc. so the wire harness is expensive. Makes it a pain to do custom work to your car. They really should change this or give a good reason why the wire harness for GMs are $100 but $8 for other brands of cars.

Well, specifically, on a 2006 Impala SS (V8) the engines are very robust (require a lot of cold starting amps) and the Original Engineering Manufacture (OEM) battery is not quite the greatest. I don't think there is an issue with your car, just that if you ever ran it down, one time, one jump start, on almost any battery, you should replace it before a year goes by. Particularly in cold weather. I could understand any battery going dead with the current electronics, but only if it sat around awhile. If it was the alternator, you would have (or should have) gotten a warning light. Long story short, original batteries are not the greatest and since my son is replacing his after two years, pretty much we are not the only ones. if you have an ONSTAR in the vehicle that you do not use ......I got a "recall" for my 2002 Impala and they said that the ONSTARs that are disconnected are not completely disconnected and needs to be completed as they are draining perfectly good batteries because if you accidently push one of the ONSTAR buttons you don't realize that its still "on" and keeps taking from the battery. I had my "used" 2002 about 1 1/2 yrs and needed a brand new battery cuz mysteriously it kept losing its charge. We are taking ours in for the recall Michele Kenmore NY

If it's a V8 it's 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the distriburetor rotates clockwise.

If the engine has been run without sufficient oil, there will be significant damage.

You should check your fuel filter. If it's clogged replace it if not then you might have a bad fuel pump. Have the fuel pump tested. There are lots of things that can cause this problem but its best to start with the easiest.

Sometimes the latch on mine sticks on the drivers side, i usually push the seat back with my other hand to relieve the pressure on the latch. I then pull up on the handle and the latch will release all the way and allow the seat to come forward.

You have to pull the balancer and then you have 2 screws holding the crank sensor to the engine block.You will need a puller with 3 small fingers to get the balancer off.Be careful not to bend the tangs on the rear of the balancer.
