either a fuse is blown, the switch is bad, or the moter itself is buned up. start by checking all your fuses and test the switch to see if it is getting fire. test to see if your getting fire to the motor. last thing to do is replace foan motor. Resistor pack can also be bad. Answer It could also just be a bad ground. Have seen this before. Loosten a mounting screw on the blower housing, under hood on firewall. Run a wire from Neg side of barrery and wrap bare end around the screw. Reinstall mounting screw, see if it works.

Most early Chevis dash pads are held in place by attached studs that go through slots on metal dash panel. There should be about 7 of these with 7/16 or 3/8 nuts. Reach up under, feel for studs and use deep socket to remove. Most will be thread cutting nuts which cut the threads in studs first time they are used. You have to be careful if you reuse so they use the same and don't cut new threads weakening the studs. You will see what I mean once you get them off.

This is an individual's memory but in the early 60's my family bought a 1957 Chevy Impala... it was different than a Bel Air because the contrasting triangle on the rear fenders was textured like rows of siding & there was a leaping Impala on it. As I remember it, my dad had a friend who ran a dealership & he had gotten it on trade & told us it was a rare model with a 4-barrel carb & a few other touches. It was white w/a white contrast triangle and a red 'leather' w/cloth insert seating. Two door.
Every time we got gas (there was a 'hidden' gas tank inlet) the pump jockeys would drool and ask if we'd consider selling it ... ever. My dad basically destroyed it & the same dealer friend put him in a '64 Chevy Impala SS - red w/a black interior & quite a few other unusual upgrades.
HOWEVER... I've not found any other backup for my memory... so, who knows? I remember being told it was a limited release '57 because of the engine & Impala emblems....
Even if it were a Bel Air - I'd love to have it today!

You have an external or external leak. If the leak is external then you should be able to find it easily and have it repaired. Look around the radiator, all hoses, and at the water pump weep hole. If coolant is leaking from the weep hole the water pump is defective. If you see white smoke at the exhaust, oil level is above full, a foamy substance on the underside of the oil cap, air bubbles escaping from the radiator, all these are signs of a blown head gasket or cracked head. The heads will have to be removed and new head gaskets installed. If the leak is internal, STOP diving the car immediately or you will cause severe engine damage.

you need to make sure that you purchased the right harness for your year and model, (i have a 2005 impala and just did this about 3 months ago). make sure that you splice the right wires for each speaker into the harness that you bought for you car (NOT the CD Player Harness), note that the speakers and all the wires you need to splice will be the same colors as the ones that you are splicing them into. then you will need to install a dash CD player instillation kit, or a deck. afterwards, your CD player should be running right.

A start would be to check this website regarding your heater switch. My mother has an impala and the cruise control green lamp would come on (cruise control was OFF) and the heater blower would only work on #5 and this was after the car operated for awhile and out of the blue I noticed it would turn on. I will be looking at swapping out the ignition switch, for a DIY and a $60 switch it beats the hrs of troubleshooting, I was told by her mechanic 3-5 hours worth with no possible solution. Also do a internet search on the above too, youu are not the only one with this issue. I hope this helps.
