You smell antifreeze because you are overheating. Check your water level in your cooling system to make sure it is full. You may need to replace your thermostat or rdiator cap to fix the over heating problem.You may also have to check your radiator fan to make sure it is working properly.

The Fuel Pump *''Relay''* identified as FUEL PUMP and the Fuel Pump Relay *''Fuse''* identified as F/PMP RLY are in the Underhood Fuse Block (Upper). See page 5-98 of your "Owner's Manual" for details.....

I'd make sure the bracket connecting the transmission and shifter isn't loose first. My 2000 is notorious for this.

Warning, you may be very unhappy with the handling of the car afterwards. If you are just styl'n, or want to see if parked on the street like this go ahead, but be prepared for an EBJ ride afterwards as you will lose the compliance of the sidewalls. (EBJ - Eye Ball Jiggler)

Look for a traction control button by the shifter if it can be disabled.

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues

Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

know there is an improvement they put a metal stripping in the rubber gaskets.

That i bought at the dealership. Rumor has it was that the red and orange coolant was eating the gaskets.That was information from my friend a Chevy mechanic.

Tire Pressure Monitor System

If your vehicle has the tire pressure monitor system, it

can alert you to a large change in the pressure of

one tire. The system "learns" the pressure at each tire

throughout the operating speed range of your vehicle.

The system normally takes between 45 and 90 minutes

of driving to learn the tire pressures. This time may

be longer depending on your individual driving habits.

Learning need not be accumulated during a single

trip. Once learned, the system will remember the tire

pressures until the system is recalibrated.

After the system has learned tire pressures with

properly inflated tires, the LOW TIRE PRESSURE

message will come on if the pressure in one tire

becomes 12 psi (83 kPa) lower than the other

three tires. The tire pressure monitor system won't alert

you if the pressure in more than one tire is low, if the

system is not properly calibrated, or if the vehicle

is moving faster than 70 mph (110 km/h).

The tire pressure monitor system detects differences in

tire rotation speeds that are caused by changes in tire

pressure. The system can alert you about a low tire-but

it doesn't replace normal tire maintenance. See Tires on

page 5-58.

When the LOW TIRE PRESSURE message comes on,

you should stop as soon as you can and check all

your tires for damage. (If a tire is flat, see If a Tire Goes

Flat on page 5-74.) Also check the tire pressure in all

four tires as soon as you can. See Inflation - Tire

Pressure on page 5-64.

The LOW TIRE PRESSURE message will also be

displayed (while the ignition is on) until you reset

(calibrate) the system.

Don't reset the tire pressure monitor system without first

correcting the cause of the problem and checking

and adjusting the pressure in all four tires. If you reset

the system when the tire pressures are incorrect,

the system will not work properly and may not alert you

when a tire is low.

Any time you adjust a tire's pressure, rotate your tires,

or have one or more tires repaired or replaced, you'll

need to reset (calibrate) the tire pressure monitor

system. You'll also need to reset the system whenever

you buy new tires and whenever the vehicle's battery

has been disconnected.

The tire pressure monitor system can be reset two

ways.

To reset (calibrate) the system using the ignition,

do the following:

1. Turn the ignition position to ON.

2. Pull the exterior lamp control from the ON position

to the OFF position three times.

To reset (calibrate) the system through the radio, do the

following:

1. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and turn the

radio off.

2. Press and hold the TUNE DISPL button on the

radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is

displayed.

3. Press the SEEK PSCAN up or down arrow to scroll

through the main menu.

4. Scroll until TIRE MON appears on the display.

5. Press the 1 PREV or 2 NEXT button to enter the

submenu. RESET will be displayed.

6. Press the TUNE DISPL button to reset. A chime will

be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will

be displayed for one second.

7. Once the monitor has been reset, scroll until EXIT

appears on the display.

8. Press the TUNE DISPL button to exit programming.

A chime will be heard to verify exit.

The system completes the calibration process during

driving.

The system normally takes 15 to 20 minutes of driving

in each of three speed ranges to "learn" tire pressures.

The speed ranges are 15 to 40 mph (25 to 65 km/h),

40 to 65 mph (65 to 105 km/h) and above 65 mph

(105 km/h). When learning is complete, the system will

alert you after two to eight minutes if a tire is 12 psi

(83 kPa) different from the other three tires. Detection

thresholds may be higher and detection times may

be longer on rough roads, curves and at high speeds.

The system is not capable of detection at speeds greater

than 70 mph (110 km/h).

The fuel sending unit is part of the fuel pump module. To replace it you must drop the gas tank.

BODY STYLE i WOULD SAY IS THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE

My 2002 chevy impala security lock but i can jumpstart it and it start but after a few hours it dose it again how can i fix it

There are many reasons that the AIRBAG light come come on. The computer will need to be scanned to get the troubles codes. Trouble codes assist in diagnosis of what circuit has a problem. I would suggest getting that done as soon as possible, because an AIBAG light on may mean that the airbags will not deploy in a collision. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Open the hood. Pop of the front grill piece with the Chevy symbol. Don't worry it won't break! On either side of each head light assembly there is one metal tab. This tab is in the shape of an upside down "L". Pop both of these tabs up, you may need a flat head screw driver to pry them up. The light assembly will then pull out to you. Then remove the rubber cover of the low beam light, twist, and pull bulb out. Don't forget to put rubber cover back on after replacing bulb. Hope this helps- JG

if you have an aftermarket radio or if there was ever one installed then it would be the hazard light switch. it works as a relay for the stereo and lights. Replace it and you should be fine. Ebay says liek $60 but its only like $30 at the dealer.

The problem may be the BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. This part is pretty hard to get to, it located on passenger side, on the floor up against the fire wall. It is approx. 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" and looks something like a circuit board.

Replace the blower motor resistor.

Remove the 2 screws under the fuse covers, the 2 on the panel under the steering wheel, and 2 by the odometer. Then gently and slowly pull the face off. Make sure you don't tug at it or you'll break the clips.

Well don't no exactlly what your asking for but this light normally comes on because you need a simple tune up or need a oil change or a head light may be out etc.. to reset it all you need to do is turn your car to on (don't start) pump the gas pedal slowly all the way to the floor board 3 times on the third time keep it held to the floor board for about 20sec then turn your car on (start car) that should reset it that's how I reset my svs light on my 2003 Monte Carlo and they are pretty much the same car.
