I have found the answer on my own and decided to post it here for future reference. Chevrolet on this model has a "liftetime" fuel filter which is built into the fuel pump located in the gas tank. So in order to change the filter the whole fuel pump must be changed.

Three reasons why an engine would be hard to start when hot: (1)Air filter clogged; (2)Fault in the fuel or electrical systems; (3)Fuel not reaching the injectors.

you need to make sure that you purchased the right harness for your year and model, (i have a 2005 impala and just did this about 3 months ago). make sure that you splice the right wires for each speaker into the harness that you bought for you car (NOT the CD Player Harness), note that the speakers and all the wires you need to splice will be the same colors as the ones that you are splicing them into. then you will need to install a dash CD player instillation kit, or a deck. afterwards, your CD player should be running right.

It depends on your expectations for the car and repairs/replacements that have already been done on it. I wouldn't expect it to last past 200,000 miles, and if certain things like the water pump, timing belt, hoses, power steering components, etc. haven't been replaced then its probably going to be more headaches than its worth for the < 2 years you'll probably have it.

From what I've learned you have to remove the exhaust pipe and then get to the starter, unless you know exactly what you're doing and have the required bolts (which have to melted off, depending on wear) your best bet would be to go to a mechanic and have them replace it.

Yes it does although it is difficult to find the power steering fluid is located near the back of the motor on the passenger side!

I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here but obviously you have a leak somewhere. It could be anywhere, the roof, the windows, the door seals, the floor pan, the trunk lid, the trunk floor pan, etc. , but if the moisture is restricted to behind the front seats, then I would start looking there.

The same way you remove the one on the passenger's side. Now that wasn't nice. First look at the top of the knuckle at the mounting post. You should see a small tab sticking out the bottom of the wiper arm. Lift up on the arm while pulling out on the tab. Once the tab comes out far enough to hold the wiper arm up without your help, the whole assembly can be wiggled off the post. Look carefully at the inside of the wiper arm knuckle and you will see that there is a locator spline which needs to line up with its corresponding slot in the post when it is reassembled. And, no, older was not better in this case. They were much more difficult to remove. It required a special tool and all the proper words! ; )

there is not enough info in the question to make a call on it what kind of cam (sld) or (hyd) what kind of lifters roller or flat tappet what kind of oil pump stock or high volume supply as much as you can and see if that helps johnny Fast
