Lots of Monte questions! This is a question with a easy answer for a difficult reason. The idle speed on any 1995 to 2001 Monte Carlo is handled by a thing called the Idle Air Control(IAC) valve. What the valve does is regulate the amount of air that bypasses the throttle plate. The IAC valve is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module(PMC). The PMC is the black box we often called the cars "computer". The IAC valve can be checked with an ohmmeter and is either good or bad. The valve can't be adjusted nor can you mechanically adjust the engine's idle. The PMC also knows what's going on with your catalytic converter because it can read the O2 sensors and match that with other engine data. Long before the catalytic converter were to actually get "stopped up" the PMC would tell the "check engine light" to start yelling at you from it's location in the dash.

I had this problem for quite awhile - seemed like it only happened when I was out of state though. Finally found one mechanic who solved the problem; said my ignition switch had a short in it. Haven't had a problem with it since he replaced it 18 months ago. Hope this helps.

Just wanted to add once your securtiy light stablizes start your engine then take the securtiy fuse from box inside car and this should disable system allowing veh. to start every time.

In a 2000 to reset the low tire pressure light, first make sure the tires are properly inflated and then to reset the light pull the head light switch from off to parking lights and back to off 3 times. Otherwise it will say it your owners manual.

There should be a positive post in between the washer fluid tank and the relay box. It came with a stock red plastic cover with a "+" on it but this may have been removed by a former owner. Hook your hot or red jumper to that and you can ground the black jumper on any unpainted metal under the hood...like a motor mount bolt.

Yes, it will. Obviously there will be differences in terms of fueling and electronics, but the 4.3 block will physically fit in place of any G-body motor, v6 or v8 (with the exception of the 3.8 Buicks). The 4.3 is essentially a small-block 350 ci motor with the front 2 cylinders cut off. If the Monte in question currently has a 4.3 as well, it will be a direct swap, you will just need to use the engine mounts off the Monte, and not the donor S-10.

While I'm not 100% certain of this, I don't think there are any differences in the fenders themselves. I think the only difference is the front end itself. The only difference I can see is the side marker light in the SS lower front. But I think this is mounted in the spoiler. There may be a hole in the fender there....but I'm not sure.

There is no such thing as a 2010 Monte Carlo, so the answer would be no

if your towing it far away I would but usually just putting it in neutral you will be fine if not going too many miles.

Most problems are a bad wheel sensor, you will have to have the system checked out to see which wheel sensor is bad.

Ground wires, conductors, or circuits ARE NEVER FUSED. Fuses and circuit breakers are put in the wires and conductors supplying electrical current TO devices needing electrical power, and ARE NEVER PLACED IN the ground portion of the circuit between the electrical power consuming device, and the battery negative terminal.

A fuse that is not completely inserted can cause a spark. This spark can cause a clicking sound, if enough current is applied. This is probably not the cause, however. When there is a problem with your wiring, this can cause rapid clicking. It will sound more like a buzz. The first step is to make sure all your fuses are properly inserted in their sockets. If the noise doesn't go away, try to determine the exact source of the noise. Going to your mechanic with such information will greatly narrow down the possibilities of what it could be. This translates into a lower bill for you.
