It is possible that the issue is with the fuse for the seat heat function, which you may be able to check and replace yourself. However, if the fuse appears to be fine and the seat heat still doesn't work, it may indicate a larger electrical problem that would require professional diagnosis and repair.
Yes, some temperature sensors in cars can show negative numbers, especially for readings like outside temperature or coolant temperature. Negative numbers indicate temperatures below freezing point.
To change the time on a 2002 Trailblazer, you typically need to locate the clock button on the radio or infotainment system. Press and hold the clock button until the time starts flashing, then use the seek or tuning buttons to adjust the hours and minutes. Once the correct time is set, press the clock button again to save the changes. Refer to your vehicle's manual for specific instructions.
The improved sun shell in the 4L60 transmission was introduced in 1996. This updated component addressed durability issues present in earlier versions of the sun shell.
A temperature gauge is used to monitor the temperature of a system or environment. It helps to prevent overheating or prevent freezing by providing real-time information on temperature levels. It is commonly used in vehicles, appliances, and industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The fuse size for the fuel gauge on a 1991 Topaz is typically 15 amps. The fuel gauge fuse is usually located in the fuse panel inside the vehicle, either under the dashboard or in the side panel next to the driver's seat. It is recommended to use the appropriate fuse size to prevent electrical issues.
Several reasons may prevent the switch from changing from 2WD to 4WD, including a faulty switch, a problem with the transfer case, an issue with the actuator or vacuum lines, or a problem with the differential. It is advisable to have a mechanic diagnose the issue to determine the exact cause.
The issue might be a faulty alternator or a weak battery. When the engine is idling, the alternator might not be producing enough power to sufficiently charge the battery and power the lights. You can try checking the alternator and battery yourself, but if you're not experienced with car repairs, it's best to have a professional mechanic diagnose and fix the issue.
This issue could be caused by a faulty temperature sensor or a problem with the gauge itself. I recommend taking your vehicle to a professional mechanic to diagnose the problem and make the necessary repairs. It's important to address this issue promptly to ensure accurate temperature readings and proper functioning of your vehicle's heating and cooling systems.
Ticking noises in a 1994 Mercury Topaz when idling could be due to issues with the valvetrain, such as worn lifters or valves. It could also be caused by a cracked exhaust manifold or a failing timing belt tensioner. It's best to have a mechanic inspect the car to properly diagnose and address the issue.
The radiator drain plug on a 1992 Mercury Topaz is typically located at the bottom of the radiator. It may be a plastic petcock valve that you can twist open to drain the coolant from the radiator. Be sure to place a drain pan underneath to catch the coolant.
The brakes on a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer are changed by jacking the vehicle up, supporting it on jack stands, and removing the wheels. The calipers can then be unbolted, old pads removed, and new pads installed.
I actually replace my drivers side mirror. I is a mechanical mirror with the turn signal on it. There is a small triangular door panel piece near the mirror. Remove it and remove the 2 or 3 bolts holding the mirror. Remove inside door panel. Unplug/replug electrical connection. The whole process was quite easy (believe it or not)!
There is a small button under the channel button. Push it. There is information in the owner's manuel.
First, you have to loosen the Serpentine belt. This releases the pressure from the power steering pump pulley.
Then, you have to remove the THREE bolts holding the pump on the bracket. There are holes in the pulley wheel that allow you to pass a socket/extension thru in order to loose all three of 'em. You might have to rotate the pulley a little bit in order to reach each bolt.
Once the bolts are off, unscrew the lines that run into the bottom of the pump. Remove the pump/reservoir all at once.
Remove the reservoir from the pump with a flat-head screw driver. Two clips that need to be lifted and slid are the only thing holding the reservoir on it. And you have to slid the reservoir out of the pump (a small circle that you just pop out and eventually press back in when you're ready to install the reservoir back on the new pump.)
That's basically how you get it off. Reverse the steps to get it back on!
Either a break in power to the rear (i.e. fuse, relay, cut wire etc) or check the contacts on the rear window. They are prone to dislodge where they connect to the window.
To unlock 4 wheel drive on a vehicle will depend on the type of system the vehicle has. If it has a self locking hub, there should be a switch to turn from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive. Always have the vehicle stopped before doing this. If the vehicle does not have self locking hubs, the vehicle has to be shifted to 2 wheel drive after the hubs are unlocked manually.
symptoms of a bad sensor will be , engine cutting out then starting again as you drive. cutting out then being able to restart when vehicle is stopped. hard starting. if left long enuff before replacing, you will not be able to restart
The port for the block heater is a small hole approx. the size of a quarter located on the windshield side of the motor, closer to the driver side of the car. It is just below the head (top part of motor) in the cylinder block. Make sure the hole is clean of dirt and debris by blowing it out, then simply push the heater element in until it clicks, that's it!
...well then you should plug the cord in... but that's it I swear!
I have a 94 Grand Cherokee, and the Block heater is on the drivers side front of the block. From under the front, you can see it, about 1/2 way up. Your plug, as your asking, if I get it right, comes out from there, just follow the cord till you find the end.
hey Zim==I think it is in the dist on this engine. GoodluckJoe
If your standing in front of the car its on the front of the moter where the trany and moter meet behind the exaust its a pain really tight space, best to go from under the car i have a lift and i still had a tough time.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the engine undercover.
4. Remove the alternator drive belt.
5. Remove the alternator mounting bolts.
6. Remove the alternator from the engine.
To install:
1. Install the alternator and torque the upper bolt to 18-23 ft. lbs. (26-31 Nm) and the lower bolt to 33-38 ft. lbs. (44-52 Nm)
2. Install the drive belt. Properly tension the belt.
3. Install the engine undercover.
4. Install the engine cover.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
Remove the dash trim around the gauge cluster and radio. It helps to put the shifter in 1st to get it out. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers. Disconnect the air bag(unhook the battery first). You'll have to remove the steering wheel to gain access to one of the bolts that holds the tumbler housing to the column. I think there are 3 in total, they are torx heads. Remove those bolts and the housing will come off.
If I misunderstood the question and all you want to replace is the plastic switch that is turned by the tumbler when the key is turned. You can get to that by just removing the plastic around the column. Below the key you will see the big wiring harness.(disconnect the battery) This piece can be pulled out of the bottom of the tumbler housing with a screw driver. Once it's out you will see what the tumbler actually is turning when you turn the key.
Ok I found it, it is draining now! The drain is at the very bottom of the right hand side tank. It is a very small screw plug next to and below the lower trans cooler line. Lay on your back with the front on ramps legs away from car, left shoulder under right front corner of car. Look up through the square hole in the plastic cover to the location above Use a large but not long screw driver to loosen it from over the frame tube, don't try to get at it from the hole use the hole to see what you are doing. The Plug has two slots in it forming a cross after you tread it all the way out it should pop out. Watch it you may get a little wet
If your talking about the engine cooling fan relay and memory serves me right it is located on the radiator support, inside engine compartment, drivers side, down low. It's probably easier to reach from underneath with vehicle lifted.
