REMOVAL

WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE PRESSURE CAP WITH THE SYSTEM HOT AND

UNDER PRESSURE BECAUSE SERIOUS BURNS FROM COOLANT CAN OCCUR.

1. Disconnect negative cable from remote jumper terminal.

2. Drain cooling system.

3. Raise vehicle on hoist.

4. Disconnect electrical connectors from engine oil and power steering pressure

switches.

5. Disconnect radiator and heater hoses from thermostat housing.

6. Remove thermostat housing bolts.

7. Remove housing, thermostat, and gasket.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean gasket sealing surfaces.

NOTE: Install thermostat with the bleed valve located at the 12 o'clock position.

2. Install thermostat and gasket into thermostat housing. For ease of installation,

install bolts in housing for thermostat and gasket retention.

3. Install thermostat and housing to cylinder block. Tighten bolts to 12 Nm (105 inch

lbs.).

4. Connect heater and radiator hoses. Install hose clamps.

5. Connect electrical connectors to engine oil and power steering pressure switches.

6. Lower vehicle and connect negative cable to remote jumper terminal.

7. Refill cooling system with 11 US quarts of 50% Ethylene Glycole/ 50% water.

are the radiator fans turning on when it gets hot I just purchased a 1994 lhs and had the same problem. I believe the main problem for me was the water pump but the heads were slightly warped and the gasket may have been seeping a little. Took to Napa and had the heads checked and shaved down for $120 and bought head gasket kit at Oreilly's for just under $150. This solved all overheating problems for me. Good luck. Also had to run a hotwire from the fan to the fuse box so the fans would stay on, they were not working.

well first you need wire cutters and you are going to need the terminal. disconnect the battery, cut the old terminal, you want to try to save the length of the wire so cut as close to the old terminal as possible, next take the wire and you sort of have to feed it into the proper end of the new terminal. Make sure there is a good strong connection on the wires from the car and the new terminal and finally reconnect the new terminal to the battery and start it up. hope this helps

The 'C' gets the Hemi engine.

manualy unlock the passenger door with your door key,while the alarm is going off.it may take a few trys but it will work.

Hi According to the Diagnostic Trouble Codes a P1776 means the Selenoid Switch Valve is latched in Lo position. The solenoid pack on the valve body in the trans has failed.

Remove the battery cables for a couple of minutes.

fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly. In order to get to it, you will have to drop the fuel tank. There is no way to get to it without doing that.

The fuel pump on a 1999 Chrysler LHS is inside the fuel tank. The tank needs removed to access the pump.

Depends on overall condition, mileage, options, etc...

Check all front end components for wear. Then check the engine and transmission mounts as the engine could be shifting and causing the shake.

Ensure your parking Brake is full disengaged

it's actually a lot easier than it looks - the boots on the plug wires are extremely long and at first it seems that you can't pull them off without removing the injection plate, but thank goodness it just takes a little wrangling and you'll get them out. you'll need a 5/8 deep well socket to remove the plugs themselves. If you're not familiar with changing plugs, remove and then replace them one at time, for if you mix up the plug wires you'll screw up the firing order and the car won't run right (if at all).

It is under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the engine.

The water pump is located behind the timing belt cover. It is driven by the timing belt. If you decide to replace it, replace the belt and idler pullys at the same time.

What all do I have to take off to get to the headlights. I just want to change the bulb can anyone help? Its a 1996 LHS.

In the LHS on the Chrysler cars, the LH is the designation for the basic chassis used. The S does not stand for anything.

The transistor that drives the various levels of the blower motor is shot. It is shorted internally. This part is around $100 at your dealer. unless you had a bad relay and some used car dealer just jumped the relay with a wire. not saying this ever happened to me though...
