Why types of goods do we move?

We move various types of goods, including consumer products like electronics, clothing, and food, as well as industrial goods such as machinery, raw materials, and chemicals. Additionally, we transport perishable items that require timely delivery, like fresh produce and pharmaceuticals. The movement of these goods is essential for trade, supply chain management, and meeting consumer demand across local and global markets.

When should you drain your air tanks?

There are two reasons to drain your air tanks. First is to drain any water out of the tank so that valves do not not rust up internally and fail as well as giving you more air capacity. The other reason is a preferred safety reason so that your parking brakes are sure to engage. When air is completely released from your brake chambers the internal spring expands and engages your parking brake, draining the tank ensures that the air is absent from the brake chambers

What are the specs on your 1989 whitegmc Volvo truck?

How are we supposed to know? Presumably, you have a WIA64, although it could be a different model. Maybe it has a small cam Cummins, or maybe it has a Big Cam, or maybe it has one of a number of Caterpillar diesels which were available that year. Maybe it has an Eaton Fuller Transmission, or maybe it has a Rockwell, or maybe it has the proprietary Volvo 14 speed synchromesh transmission. Maybe it's direct drive with gear ratios between 2.64 and 2.93, maybe it has a transmission with a .87 overdrive ration and rear end gear ratios between 2.93 and 3.08, maybe it has a transmission with a .74 overdrive ratio and rear end gear ratios between 3.25 and 7.something. Your guess is as good as ours. Better, in fact, since we don't even know the application.. it could be a line haul tractor, a day cab tractor, a vocational straight truck.. you can try calling a Volvo dealership. They're typically a PItA to deal with, but they might be able to tell you something. It's also possible to call Volvo directly in Sweden, although I can't tell you how much information they retain on US-made vehicles under the White-GMC badge.

How do you take a speed limiter off a iveco?

The speed governor is part of the settings in the Engine Control Module (ECM). You would need to have a computer with the appropriate software hooked up to the ECM in order to reprogram it. The computer and software to do this can be found at any IVECO dealer - their willingness to do this, on the other hand, is an entirely different matter. In a lot of countries where IVECO products are sold, the governor speeds are mandated by law, and neither fleets nor dealers are going to be particularly willing to face the legal repercussions.

How do you load 44000 pounds on a semi trailer with 2000 pound skids in order to get a load that will meet DOT regulations?

Drive Axles 36,000 lbs.
Minus Tandems 32,800 lbs.
-----------------
3,200 lbs. (Difference)

Divide the difference by 2 (2 axles, Drives and Steers)

3,200 lbs. / 2 = 1,600 lbs. proportioning weight

Now take the proportioning weight and divide by 250 ( this is the # of lbs. per hole)

1,600 lbs. / 250 = 6.4 holes

In this case, your drive axles have too much weight, therefore they are the problem. So to properly proportion your load, you will always SLIDE TOWARDS the problem.

So you will slide your tandems FORWARD 7 holes (since we cant technically slide 6.4 holes).
