* Processor - A fast CPU, or processor, will prevent lags in large or complex games like first person shooters or MMORPGs (massively multi-player online role-playing games). Some systems have dual and quad-core processors for extreme gaming.

* Memory - A large memory allows the computer to quickly access frequently used information or programs. This is critical for gaming. A gaming PC should have between two and eight GB of RAM memory and a sufficient hard drive.

* Video/Audio - A game is only as good as the graphics card supporting it. Many games have life-like, real-time images that require a high-end graphics card. Most computer manufacturers allow you to upgrade your graphics card. The sound should be a clear as the image.

* I/O Device - Some computers come with various peripherals including a mouse, keyboard, speakers and a monitor while others don't. This may or may not be important depending on the buyer. Additionally, some gaming systems come with uniquely designed towers with sleek cases and neon lights.

Also the PC should include:

*HDD - A quick one so that the game can read from the computer quicker etc. ATM namely an SSD or a 1000rpm HDD

* Motherboard - for a major gamer most of the time not 100% of the time overclocking the graphics card, ram and CPU is done for an even better gaming experience and the BIOS of certain motherboards let us do this so get the right one ^^

* Memory - Another thing to consider for the memory is the latency of the RAM this will be a big factor trust me ^^

To add to Tina's answer I would defintely focus on getting a good graphics card. At the moment you can buy very good graphics cards from ATI that run most games at great resolutions for great prices. Bang for your buck. Second, you don't need a lot of memory these days, 1 gigabyte of RAM is defintely enough but you can still play most games with 512, if your graphics card is 256-512 it will handle most of the memory processing. The best processors on the market are dual-core and they are definitely affordable. Don't worry about a good sound card, you can get great quality out of a on-board soundcard. So, instead of wasting too much money on memory one should focus on a good video card when gaming and a decent processor and 512 RAM. Good luck if you decide to purchase a new computer or upgrades!

I got a GTX 470, 6gb DDR3, ASUS M4A785-M, 750GB WD 7200RPM HDD, 600w OCZ PSU, all cost around $850. I can run anything on highest.

It depends, alienwares are basically supercharged dells, so if u want a extremely fast PC go with alienware

Macs are macs, with there own operating system and all the bells and whistles like the fast computing times.

so all in all personally alienware is better to me because more people use the windows OS

Plus the work being done is by a mechanic that only works on those type of cars so it will more then likely done right. Also how many times have you brought your car somewhere and they found things wrong and you said ill do it later so then you drive around with a annoying problem which then leads to another problem. When you could've got it done for free. Also most dealerships will give you a loaner car to drive while your car is being fixed!

• I was an underwriter for an extended warranty company for two years, and I would suggest never buying one. The car dealers who sold them left out valuable information and gave out lots of misinformation when selling them to customers. Nine out of ten times, customers were calling to have them cancelled because they did not do what they were told they would do. They were 5 or 6 different types of warranties that fit depending on what type of vehicle you were buying, was it new or used and what the mileage is on the vehicle. The newer the vehicle the more money the dealer is going to get out of it, so regardless they sold the "new" one and when the customer went to use it they would find that there was not coverage for what they needed repaired. If you take the amount of money you are paying into your payment every month that is for the warranty and put it into your savings account you would have the money set aside when something does happen, then you don't have to go through the hassle of waiting while the warranty company decides if it is covered while your vehicle sits in a shop waiting to be repared.

Agree with the above for the most part, but disagree that it's a bad idea to buy an extended warranty. I did extensive research on warranties and found that most people who experienced a repair during their coverage were very glad that they had an extended warranty, and recommended to others that they purchase one. Those who did not experience a repair did not. About 80% of extended warranty buyers experience a repair during their coverage. So ... you have an 80% chance of being glad that you had one. Convinced me. Having said that, it does make sense to find out whether the company providing your coverage is legitimate and secure ... one of the best ways to do that is to ask about third-party certification and awards, from companies like BBB, or category specialists like Motor Trend or J D Power.

FURTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Keep in mind that extended warranties are also routinely offered during the sale, or shortly after the sale of consumer goods other than automobiles.
