Speaking from experience (county jails, state and federal prisons) it depends on the institution. The best to get a letter from one facility to another is completely circumvent the system by sending it to an outside party to reroute it.

Florida has changed its law. Both of you now must go to the county court house and apply together. They no longer let you take the license to the prison, or at least did not the last time I was there checking. Also, the last time I checked, they did not give prisoners passes to get out of prison to get married.

In past years it was possible for a person to get married in the chapel on visiting days. The legislature changed that. Those days are gone.

The question isn't clear. Are you asking how long you must carry or wear the monitoring equipment? If so, that info should be contained in the court papers that you received. If not contact the court that issued the ruling or the agency that does the monitoring and ask.

I think parole violations are the main problem for the overcrowding.. Parole (in CA) is very strict and inmates can be sent back for anything..... I STRESS anything..

Example = I know someone that got a ride to see his PO, they ran a check on the person that took him, and the person that took him had warrants. The person I know was violated and sent back to prison for 9 months because he was with a person that has warrants... IDK what for, but honestly do you know if your friends have warrants or not..

Rules and regulations for visiting an offender at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility are as follows:

1. The offender is responsible for submitting a list containing names and addresses of potential visitors.

2. If you wish to be included on an offender's visit list, you must contact the offender in writing. You must wait until the offender notifies you that you have been approved to visit him/her.

3. The following persons may be approved to visit an offender: relatives; close friends;clergy; and persons who may have a constructive influence.

Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to visit unless accompanied by an adult.

4. Attorney visits require at least 24-hour advance notice to ensure the availability of space, staff, and the offender.
