What animals are endangered from cutting down trees?
Lots. Especially birds, and squirels, and those trees can crush on little animals too. Plus without trees, we won't be able to brethe! And with very little trees, animals won't be able to hide from hunters very well. So I'm probably guessing that ALOT of animals will lose their homes if we cut down trees to make our homes. Possibilities are that lots of animals will be extinct if we keep cutting down trees.
How is animal life affected by deforestation?
Deforestation affects wildlife by causing them to loose their habitats this means that they have to find somewhere else to live or become extinct. When they move to a new habitat it will take them a while to adapt and get used to living in that environment. Decreasing biodiversity and the animals the environment gets affected hugely. Some animals live in certain climates so it is hard for them to adjust to new homes due to deforestation.
Forest are natural habitat to many types of animals. That is why where there is deforestation, many animals are left without shelter.Through the years it is estimated that millions of planys and animals have been wiped out.

What are some human activities that have a negative impact on the environment?
The average person may never be quilty of strip mineing. The average person will never be a major polouter, lead, mercury, oil, patrolium. The average person will never release enough flouralcarbons to deplete thee ozone. The average person will never clear cut a rain forest. These four are ways to damage the the environment are real problems. The thing that can be worst than all these is appathy. the average person who choose to ignore the impotants of the environment, make it easy for those who do. Standing idlely by while these things are happening, maybe doing more to enable the rapeing of the planet for monitary advantage. I'm not a tree hugger, but my respect for the the goodness, my GOD, has given all of us, keeps me and all those like minded to vote, read, listen, and think globeable, and act locally.
Why are butterflies important to the rainforest?
The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew in England has a very detailed profile of the rafflesia plant. According to Kew, this plant is native to southeastern Asia and is actually a parasitic plant. It has the distinction of being the largest flower in the world. The flowers smell like rotting flesh which attracts carrion-flies who pollinate the flowers. The flower buds can be used as medicine, but some of the medicinal uses are believed to be tied to superstition more than to sound medical science. Small mammals are able to eat the berries produced from the flower. More than anything though, rafflesia has become a popular symbol and pictures of it are published in tourist brochures and on postage stamps. Ecotourism revenue that helps support local residents is also generated from tourists who visit forested areas to see rafflesia flowers in the wild.
I also read through a short encyclopedia-style article on The National Library Board of Singapore's Infopedia website. It says that rafflesia flower buds are eaten as a delicacy in Thailand. It also gives several specific examples of how the rafflesia is used as a medicine: childbirth, energy drink, aphrodisiac. This website agrees with Kew in saying that there is no scientific evidence to support the claim of any actual medical powers. Ironically, several potentially toxic chemicals have been identified within the buds and flowers. So, you may want to think twice before eating a rafflesia!

Cloud forests are very moist. As a result of the boggy soil and wet climate, there are lots of fungus, ferns and orchids. It gets its name from the low clouds that surround the canopy layer of the forest. (These clouds are also called fog) Even though it is a rainforest, most of the precipitation these forests get are from fog drip, which is when fog condenses on leaves and the water falls to the ground. Cloud forests usually grow on mountainous land, are either tropical or subtropical.
How does deforestation affect orangutans?
Orangutans are animals adapted to live in the forest, they can not live anywhere else.
If the forest is all cut down all the Orangutans that lived in it will die because they have nowhere left to live.
Humans are rapidly cutting down all the forests that Orangutans live in and this means that if we do not stop doing this Orangutans will become extinct.
The people who live in the places where Orangutans are to be found know this yet they still cut down the forests, When there is not more forest and no more Orangutans, this will be their fault and there will be environmental consequences - they will pay for this stupidity.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
In many ways have they been affected. Most of the population of the orangutans are being killed and the population is decreasing. So if the deforestation keeps on going on and on and on. Then in about two decades they will probably most definitely be extinct.

How many gallons of oil are saved by recycling 1 ton of paper?
For "new" paper, oil would be used in making paper:
As most paper mills use waste wood and bark for steam production, the use of oil for heating, pulp digestion and calendering operations wold be minimized.
Creating new paper from post consumer paper would still require material transportation from the collection site to the mill and product transportation from the mill to market. Oil or other fossil fuel would be required for plant energy needs.
As a consequence the oil needs for the two alternatives might be close to equivalent.
How many trees can you save if you use plastic than paper?

What are the pros and cons of building a round pool vs the normal oblong shape?
I assume you are referring to above ground pools. First off, some yards will only fit an oval pool because of yard size, property lines, trees and underground utilities. However, if you can fit either a round or oval pool then your purchase has several pros and cons, Round Pools: Cost 30-40% less Easier to install, typically in one day. Easier for the Do-It Yourself type. Variety of sizes that can meet any yard size and budget. Much more selection of models from inexpensive to luxorious. Oval Pools: Cost more Limited sizes for example, 12'x24', 15'x30' 16'x32' 18'x33' Are great for a limited space of narrow yard Longer installation time. Would only recommend a professional experienced installer. They have more parts then a round pool because the strait sides have greater amount of water pressure on them then a round pool which as an equal amount of pressure when filled. Therefore, they must be perfectly level, and require many additional parts like bracing on the sides on some models. For more information about pools or questions contact me at www.ccpoolspa.com Regardless, I believe any pool is a great investment and will bring lots of fun and joy to any family. JP You can also do laps in an oval pool!
