A Dell Studio XPS tends to have better specifications hardware wise, meaning that it has better components such as CPU, RAM, and hard drive.

I have a dell laptop as well and although I don't know how to unstick it I dohave an alternitive. You can buy a USB mouse to plug in the side. I prefer a wireless one. This isn't the greatest solution if you use your laptop on the go.

Make sure your replacement Dell battery is ready to go by taking it out of its packaging and placing it somewhere nearby.

Save any open files on which you're working. Since turning the system off isn't required when changing the battery, this is more of a precaution than a necessity.

Plug your Inspiron AC adapter into a nearby wall socket. Then, connect the end of the adapter cable to your notebook's power socket.

Turn your notebook over and find the battery latch. Slide the latch into the release position and pull out the old battery.

Install the new Dell battery by simply popping it into place. The alignment of the battery should be easy to figure out, since there's only one side of it that connects to the receptor pins in your notebook's battery bay.

Make sure the battery latch pops back into the locked position. If it's jammed in the unlocked position, gently wiggle the battery back and forth to pop it back.

Keep your notebook plugged in to the wall socket in order to charge the new battery. You can check the status of its charge by clicking on the system tray icon shaped like a battery.

Its when your computer is processing data. Some of the new computers have different color lights now that are flashing my dell has a green one. But its just flashing when it thinks and processes information through CPU the faster if flashes and longer the harder your computer is thinking

You have probably not inserted the memory module correctly. Remove it and attempt to reinstall it. Try switching the memory module's locations. If the same module fails in both slots, it is likely defective.

Some lithium-ion batteries fail due to excessive low discharge. If discharged below 2.5 volts per cell, the internal safety circuit opens and the battery appears dead.
