My '93 Shadow, it was under the car located passenger side by the fuel tank. One quick release hose and one fuel line hose with clamp. Unmount the filter, loosen the hose clamp and remove the hose, insert a quick release shim into the quick release flange, a slight push and easy pull and it's yours. It might leak a little be careful. Don't need the shim when reconnecting the quick release side, slides on to the new filter and should click, the rest is the same.

my guess would be a vacuum leak or a bad throttle position sensor. The best thing to do is get in your car, start with the key in the off position...turn it on off on off and back to on. Ok...I have an 89 Shadow and the relay for it is located in the cluster between the battery and the strut tower on the drivers side. On the strut tower, you should see 2 silver relay boxes. the one closest to the engine is the starter relay, next to that is the radiator fan relay. The a/c relay is located between them and the battery, under fender lip, right next to the air intake. Hope this helps...you need to be a little more specific in your question to get better answers.

If the timing belt broke when the vehicle is running, then you could end up with alot of problems such as the valves being bent... which means the head needs to come off to replace the messed up rods... the pistons can even become damaged (I guess from hitting on the valves). when putting a timing belt on you need a timing light, or if your lucky you can time it and make it run and sound good enough :).
