What happens to voltage when a single line opens on a three phase delta transmission system?

When a single line opens in a three-phase delta transmission system, the voltage in the remaining lines can increase due to the loss of the return path for the current. This phenomenon can lead to an unbalanced voltage condition, potentially causing overvoltage on the remaining phases. Additionally, the system may experience increased current on the other two lines, which can result in overheating and damage to equipment if not properly managed. Protective devices are typically employed to detect such faults and isolate the affected section of the system to maintain stability and safety.

How painful is an electric shock?

Is Nitrogen A conductor Or Insulator?

Nitrogen is typically found as the gas N2 and due to the triple bond structure of the gas it usually won't react chemically. So I would say it won't conduct electricity, and is in fact an insulator.

Is a seal off required by the NFPA 70 NEC for an explosion proof light in a Class 1 Division 1 area?

Probably. In class 1 div 1, seals are required for enclosures that contain apparatus that can produce arcs, sparks, or enough heat to be an ignition source.

What safety precautions are necessary when working with an electric motor?

LOCK OUT THE POWER SO THAT IT CAN NOT BE TURNED ON BY ANYONE ELSE. IF IT HAS CAPASITORS MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE DISSCHARGED PRIOR TO REMOVAL.

How do you downgrade psp firmware 3.93?

pretty sure you cannot use a downgrader (yet) but there is something called pandoras battery which will do it, but you need an extra battery and at least 256MB media card. hope this helps.

Your freeview box has one connection for cable but your sky plus has double cable how do you connect?

Your freeview box should connect to the TV Ariel on the top of your house. The Sky + cables connect to the Sky dish on the side of your house and will not work with your freeview box. If you have Sky there is nothing on freeview that you can not already get on Sky (even if you do not have a sky card).

No objection certificate format for electricity connection?

Owing to the rapid development of newer and newer systems, often city codes and laws cannot keep up with the changes. Such a certificate is given when a certificate of occupancy is held up because the licensing board is unfamiliar with the newest electrical system, and to deny the c of o because of their ignorance is unfair to contractors who have enmbraced the technology. The cert. is usually temporary until such time as the board can know what it is dealing with. It is a stop-gap measure, but needed.

Are electrical cords and cable wires for computers TV cable boxes insulated?

Yes, of course they are insulated. If they were not the signals would short out and be unusable. If electric power cords were not insulated they would short out and blow the breaker (or worse start a fire)!

Do you need an explosion proof motor for a grain elevator?

It depends on where in the grain elevator the motor is located and if dust is allowed to build up on the surface of the motor restricting its heat dissipation. Grain dust is highly explosive if the air dust ratio is correct.

If the motor is outside or adjacent to an area where there is no dust then an ordinary totally enclosed motor can be used.

Grain elevators fall under the classification of Class 2, Division 1, Groups E, F and G.

Group designations for Class 2 areas refer to the type of dust involved. Group E dusts contain combustible metal dusts like coal and some other combustible dusts. Group G dusts are the combustible dusts not found in groups E or F.

What is die and wafer in CPU components?

A wafer is a disc of pure silicon metal cut from a manufactured rod. It is usually more than 150mm in diameter and less than a millimetre thick. It is then processed in vacuum equipment where layers of metallic, insulating and semi-conductive material are deposited on the wafer in patterns. these patterns are designed so that the completed device will have specif functions, like an amplifier or a Central Processing Unit (CPU). there are multiple devices on one wafer. The wafer is then cut up into individual devices, each one known as a die. These dies are then "packaged" into connection arrangements to make them easier to handle and connect to the motherboard.

How does magnets produce movement ina current carrying wire?

Faraday's Law states that magnetic fields produce a electric fields and vice versa. Also, Ampere's Law states that a change in magnetic fields w.r.t. time creates current.

How do you get the color black on computer and television screens?

to Understand this you must first understand how it makes all the other colours.

When a color TV needs to create a red dot (pixel), it fires the red beam at the red phosphor. Similarly for green and blue dots. To create a white dot, red, green and blue beams are fired simultaneously -- the three colors mix together to create white. To create a black dot, all three beams are turned off as they scan past the dot. All other colors on a TV screen are combinations of red, green and blue. So it's basicly just a lack of light.

Who can help I used an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to my TV but a week later it stoped working please help?

Make sure cable is seated properly at both ends. Unplug and re-plug. If this doesn't work you may have a bad HDMI cable or the HDMI interface on your TV or computer stopped working. On the computer there may be a way to turn the HDMI port on or off. You have to eliminate all these possibilities. Replace the cord, plug the computer into another TV or drive your current TV from a different HDMI source using the same cable.
