What is skew in relationship to parallel bus?

A parallel bus has many wires, and it sends 8 (or more) bits at the same time -- one bit on every wire.

Then later it sends 8 more bits at the same time.

Even though all 8 bits are started at the same time, the receiver often finds the bit on one wire slightly early and the bit on some other wire slightly late.

The difference in time between the first bit to arrive and the last bit to arrive is the bus skew.

Because serial buses send only one bit at a time, there is no "other wire".

So serial buses do not have bus skew.

What is the difference between pipes and tubes?

Pipe n tube are same in shape etc. BUT only difference is

Pipe is used for Transferring Material (Gas, Liquid etc.)

AND where it is used for Heat Exchanging purpose , It is called TUBE.

A car has an initial speed of 10 M's The brakes are applied and the speed of the car is reduced to 5 M S in 2s Calculate the average value of retardation during the braking process?

The "retardation" is more correctly referred to as "acceleration".

Since the car is slowing down, the acceleration is negative.

Its average value is

(change in speed) divided by (time for the change) = (5 - 10)/2

= -2.5 m/sec2.

Is contacts saved on sim or on the network?

What is Drakunov sliding mode observer?

It's a dynamical system that allows to reconstruct state vector of a nonlinear system using observation of the system output. See the Wikipedia article "State Observers".

Is there any difference between marine technology and marine engineering?

Marine Engineering is the study of powering a vessel and all of its systems for sea voyages and operations carried out at sea, whiles Marine technology is a combination of Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture, which introduces the study of ship design and calculation and modelling.

How do mitosis and meiosis differ among humans chickens and alligators?

Meiosis differ among humans and alligators because the number of chromosomes that is given from the parents.

When will warp speed be achieved?

According to Star Trek (where the idea for warp became common if not where it was created) it will be achieved on stardate 50893.5 or April 4, 2063 after the fallout of world war III. The first craft to reach warp1 will be The S.S. Phoenix piloted by Dr. Zefram Cochrane

What is insulation co-ordination in high voltage engineering?

Raw materials for cement?

Do you need a license to weld?

no, you do need certification to do certain types of welds like pressure

Is there any new technology like flat space technology dimension compression?

As much as I would love to say yes, there isn't. There's obvious problems when you try to do something like dimensional compression. The main problem is the amount of energy that you need to perform such a feat. Modern physics says that it's possible, but you need intense amounts of energy, because space-time is maleable, but highly difficult to do so.

Function of the starter for the slip ring motor?

to limit the induced current in the rotor to assist with high inertia loads

Can a flyback transformer be powered by nothing but a car battery and wires?

A transformer is an AC device in that it requires a changing current to be input in order to see an output. Attaching a 12V battery to the primary side of the transformer will generate a voltage on the secondary for a short amount of time. Once the primary current has risen to a stable level, there will be no output voltage on the secondary. There will also be voltages on the secondary and the primary when the battery is disconnected from the transformer.

A flyback transformer relies on an AC current at the primary to generate a high voltage at the secondary output. Circuitry to make changes to the primary current will be needed in addition to the battery.

Warning: removing the battery from the primary winding of the transformer is liable to generate a very high voltage across the primary coil as well as the secondary. In some cases, they can be lethal. Do not experiment with transformers unless you are properly qualified and supervised.

How do you sit during job interview?

The way you sit communicates a great deal about a whole range of issues, including how important you think the interview is, how nervous (or confident) you are, and your understanding of the underlying power relations. Some people's sitting position exudes over-familiarity and even arrogance, whereas others communicate a serious lack of self-belief. The golden rules in sitting are: avoid anything that will distract the interviewer from concentrating upon the content of your answers; and avoid making the interviewer feel uncomfortable. Interviewers generally do not feel comfortable if you sit in an aggressive way (leaning forward too much) or in an overly passive way (leaning back and crossing your legs at the thighs). In short, good sitting goes unnoticed by the interviewer. Here are some tips on what you should avoid:

• Leaning back: Gives the impression that you're not taking the interview seriously.

• Crossing your legs at the thighs: Too familiar, especially at the beginning of an interview.

• Sitting with your legs wide apart: Far too familiar for an interview situation, and can be both distracting and uncomfortable for the interviewer.

• Leaning forward too much: May make some interviewers feel uncomfortable, especially if you're physically big and talk loudly.

• Slouching: Gives the impression that you're not taking the interview seriously and will likely slouch in your duties.

Tips on good sitting practice include:

• Straight and upright body: This is a neutral sitting position that interviewers expect to see.

• Male legs: Males can keep their upper legs facing straight forward

and adopt what is commonly referred to as the starters position-that is, the dominant foot flat on the ground with the other foot having only the front part touching the ground.

• Female leg:. Females can cross their legs at the ankles and position the legs slightly to one side.
