They revolve around the title character, Bartimaeus, a djinni or demon in service to a magician named Nathaniel, and a 'commomer', Kitty Jones. They're really good books, some of my favourites. Is there a sequel to the powerless book?

Powerless by Mattew Cody? Then yes, it's called Super.

It's supposedly coming out September 25th, 2012, this is supposed to be the back cover summary:

Daniel Corrigan is as regular as can be, especially when compared to the Supers: kids in his new hometown with actual powers like flight and super strength. But Daniel's not powerless. Only he was able to stop the Shroud, a supervillian bent on stealing his newfound friends' powers. And thanks to him, his friends got to keep those powers.

Now Daniel himself is starting to display powers, while at the same time, his friends are losing theirs. His friend Eric thinks Daniel is just becoming a Super himself, a late-blooming one. But Daniel worries there may be something more sinister at work, since his power-stealing ability is uncomfortably like the Shroud's. Of course, the Shroud is gone now . . . or is he? And could Daniel himself be his new vessel?

What is a good name for Blaze Wizards?

You need to invent your own names if you're going to be a writer. Don't depend on some anonymous person on the internet to invent your characters for you!

Writers who copy ideas from other people can also end up in trouble for plagiarism! If you copy someone's names or ideas, then when you publish your story, they could claim you stole those from them and sue you for part of your money.

I use online name generators for the names of my secondary characters - the main characters. I take my time and choose special names from baby name books!

What kind of sounds do Phoenixes make?

In order to make a sound, a creature would need to actually exist, and since the Phoenix does not, there is no way to indicate what sound it made.

Keep in mind, when asking questions like these, that the point of mythology wasn't to be detailed, it was to explain why something happened, or to set a moral guide post. If a story included a phoenix, it was to illustrate a point, not diagram it zoologically.

What is the difference between low and high fantasy?

Low fantasy usually involves a 'real world' setting, where people are normally rational-type beings and magic/ supernatural things do not happen or are not recognized as such by most of the 'normal' people. Basically it means that the book setting or world does NOT commonly recognize non-rational events - this does not mean that they do not happen in that setting, though. Usually such events are 'clouded' or 'blocked' from the "public's" view or knowledge, and the prevention of that ever being revealed is used as a stress-point for the characters in the book. The line between good and evil is not always easy to tell in low fantasy book sometimes.

Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series is a good example - ALL magic and magical/ strange creatures are kept hidden by spells, and revealing any of this results in a nasty visit from a group known as "The Council". Offenders are usually ... permanently removed, trapped, or killed.

High fantasy usually involves a world setting completely different from anything 'normal'. There are usually many races of creatures, magic is known to all as existing(even if magic use is extremely rare). Some high fantasy books may not even have magic, but they are still considered high fantasy because the world setting is so different from anything Earth-like. Often a very narrow 'white vs. black' or 'good vs. evil' view is featured in high fantasy as well, with very little 'grey area' for the reader to to consider.

Tolkien's "Lord of The Rings" is a perfect example of high fantasy - multiple races, magic is known about and even seen occasionally in the form of weapons or other items, even if there are relatively few that use magic.

Is Alice in Wonderland a true story?

No, it was released as a true story but in reality a woman named Beatrice Sparks wrote it. There are a few chronological errors and some things that just don't make sense. Sparks claims that it was BASED on an actual girls diary but that in the end that girl did not die. However she can come up with no evidence of any diaries. She has also gone on to produce many other "diaries" which were also forgeries. I hope this answers your question, and do go to wikipedia for more information on it.
