If it only happens when cornering the I would say that its a driveshaft - otherwise, more information is required I had the exact same problem. It turned out that on the inside of the left front wheel, the brake shoe pin on the bottom was locked. This made the brake shoe dig into the router. When the brakes were applied, the sound would subside because the brake shoe flattened out and went into a normal position. The answer is you need new brakes and routers.

Sure I can, I do it all the time.
But if YOU can't perhaps it's because:
1. you don't know how, in which case you'll probably need some help.
2. You have the wrong parts, in which case you'll need to take the OLD brake pads with you when you buy the new ones.
3. Perhaps you have the pads on the calipers but can't get the whole thing over the rotor, in which case you'll need to collapse the calipers first. You can buy/rent/borrow a tool for that, or you can just use a large "C" clamp.

This has just happened to my wifes Punto. Had to replace the wiper motor, as the linkage came apart due to wear. You cannot replace the arms, therefore, new motor. You could just try clipping it back in, but it is doubtful. Lift the bonnet. At the back at the top, just under the windscreen, you will see the arms. The one you are talking about will most probably be lying at the bottom, disconnected. Rip off if you ask me.

I'm guessing you mean the front wiper here,- you just remove the cover over the nut and unscrew using spanner. make sure its not too loose or it will come off during motion. that's as far as i can help.
