How much is a 1972 Fiat Spider convertible worth?
According to the NADA guides value ranges from:
Low Retail $4,625.00
Average Retail $7,725.00
High Retail $13,150.00
Some may be worth more than the high retail value in resell dependant upon condition. Further, because these vehicles are "collectibles/classic cars" they should increase in value annually. Hope this helps. C.R.
Power window on driver side quit working How do you fix it?
Test according to the procedure in this article.
http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/replace-a-power-window-regulator
If the window motor is getting power, replace the regulator assembly.
If it's not getting power, you've got a broken wire--most often in the hinge area of the door.
Or, you've got a bad master switch

Will a small amount of petrol float on top in a diesel tank?
No,the two fuels are fully miscible,ie, they will mix.
If you need the location of the fuses, my '99 scudo fuses are behind the glove box. You need to press a spring clip at either side of the open glove box and remove it completely.
Why would a 1996 Fiat Punto shudder at the front end when pulling off?
I would say the gearbox is on the way out as i had the same problem and i had to replace the gearbox. and as you have a Mk1 Fiat Punto gearboxes are plentyful and cheap. but decide this age of car value of car and millage. and ask your self is it realy worth it as 1996 P reg puntos are only worth ?4-500. and it will cost you ?150-200 to replace the gearbox. Shudder can be caused by a defective clutch assembly And or broken/weak engine or gearbox mountings

How do you cange the ignition coil on a fiat stilo?
Dead simple this one - just hope the answer has arrived in time to help! You will need either a Fiat star shaped screwdriver bit (or you can make do with a straight edged screwdriver), and a 10mm hexagonal socket. 1) Remove battery cover and disconnect the battery, this serves two purposes, firstly, it will prevent any accidental shorts, and secondly, the battery needs to be disconnected for at least an hour to reset the ECU. (This will also cancel/reset the "Engine Fault" message that appears on your dashboard, which is probably why you are here to start with!!) 2) Remove the engine cover, there are four 10mm nuts holding this in place. Once removed the ignition coils are in plain sight, and if you have the relacements you'll know what you are looking for. 3) Disconnect the lead from each coil, by firstly sliding back the yellow slide towards you, and then depressing the black clip into the gap in the yellow clip. 4) Undo the nut, which is holding the coil onto the housing, and then gently pull the coil out of its place sitting on top of the spark plug. 5) Insert new coil carefully, making sure that the rubber housing on the bottom of your coil, is in position over the spark plug, and push firmly into place. 6) Re-fix the bolt holding the coil into place, attach the lead puching firmly until it clicks, and push the yellow slide back into place. 7) Repeat Items 3-6, for the other coils, and replace the engine cover. 8) You'll probably need to go and make yourself a cuppa now, coz that'll only have taken about 30 minutes, and you need to make sure the battery has been disconnected for at least an hour, (I recommend 90 minutes, as nothing worse than having to start your hour again from scratch!) 9) Re-connect the battery, and replace the battery cover and the jobs done! Good Luck!!

Why would a 1995 Fiat Punto 55 sometimes rev up and down from 1000 to 3000 rpm while idling?
I had a similar problem on my Punto, turned out to be a sticking EGR (Exhaust Gas Re-cirulation) valve. The valve was staying open and suffocating the engine, the ECU forces the engine into a type of 'panic mode' providing more fuel to make up for the "missing air", which is why the revs increase which clears the problem momentarily. You'll find that your fuel usage will have increased too. I would recommend you find a garage that does diagnostics which will identify the failing part. A good garage will charge you about 40 to 50 quid for the diags, and they can recommend replacement components to resolve the issue. The garage I went to actually removed the valve, cleaned it and put it back in. Fiat will charge more for the diagnostic, replace the component no matter what condition it is in, and only use Fiat parts that could be expensive. Hope this puts you in the right direction anyway. Why does the brake pedal seem very soft even though brakes work?
asuming the brakes are fine. what we have is servo assistance all cars have brake servo's these unit's aid the driver to operate the brakes because with out servo assistance you could not stop the car on your own. how ever if you must check your brakes turn the car off now pump the brake pedal after 3 or 4 maybe 5 pumps of the pedal it should become solid if it not then get them looked at. but lets say they are now with the pedal feeling solid hold the pedal down as hard as you can now start the car now as you start the car the pedal should go down pretty much all the way down this is the servo kicking in which is great but if the pedal does not go down the servo needs looking at. and this goes for all cars .
