Flags

The current Puerto Rican flag was adopted July 26, 1952. However the official shade of blue in the triangle and red of the bars has changed. In 1952 the blue and red were close to those of the United States flag, but in 1998 the color was lightened on both red and blue. Right now the Puerto Rican flag uses a sky blue instead of dark blue. It is not specified in the law, though.

There are no particular name for each European flag in French. Thye would be called "le drapeau" (the flag) + the adjective related to the nationality. Ex: le drapeau européen, le drapeau anglais, le drapeau allemand (the European flag, the German flag, the english flag...)
