I doubt it. The process of producing these new compounds/chemicals usually involves something a bit more drastic.

Notice that modified starch (found in most supermarket goods) "is prepared by treating starch or starch granules with inorganic acids"

Oh by the way, such inorganic acids include:

- Hydrochloric Acid. You know, the stuff that will burn your face off. (E1401)

- Hydrogen Peroxide. Ah yes, the powerful bleaching agent and also a rocket fuel (E1403)

- Sodium Hypochlorite. Commonly know as bleach and frequently used as a disinfectant. Yum (E1404)

- DEXTRIN (DEXTROSE equivalent). Roasted starch with Hydrochloric Acid. (E1400)

...and the rest.

And they have even made some special little code names for you so you don't have to worry about all that when ignorantly chomping away on probably the worst things you can eat.

How do you train your kitten to drink water without it being added to food?

You don't need to. When the kitten is old enough to drink water, it will drink without being trained. Note: This may work for some cats but not introducing your kitten to water at a young age may mean that it will always fear it and will never drink it. Cats have a great risk of being affected by urine problems and the natural prevention of this is to drink water regularly. Here's a list of things to try to get your kitten to drink water:- 1. Change water regularly and some cats prefer plastic or metal pots. The material can affect the taste of the water. 2. If they won't drink from a tub/pot try a dripping tap, the cat will paw it and lick it off then eventually drink it. 3. Add a little marmite to water to add interest, then eventually stop once the kitten is used to the water. 4. Never throw water over a cat unless the cat really likes water (some do), it will be scared of water for life. 5. As a last resort try a water fountain cats can really love them especially if you have more than one cat. Good luck!

Is there MSG in Pappa Johns Pizza?

I know for a fact it is in the pepperoni used at the Sedalia Missouri store. I had a reaction after eating it. It could have been they ran out of pepperoni and purchased some locally that was not MSG free. Either way I definitely had MSG poisoning from eating it. Once is all it takes for me. I will never spend my money twice at any restaurant that has it in there food. There are plenty of places that don't allow this poison in there food.

How is MSG harmful to dogs?

MSG is classified by the FDA as an excitotoxin, a dangerous neurotoxin that shrivels and kills brain cells and has been linked to causing seizures, migraines, heart palpitations and even cancer, amongst it's many symptoms.... in people! Never mind your dog, YOU should be avoiding MSG!

It's definitely one of things you should not feed a dog, but MSG isn't something you eat straight out the bag like potato chips. It's an ingredient in MANY human foods, and probably pet foods (MSG goes by 40 different names!). Unless the dog (or person) happens to be sensitive to MSG, eating something that contains MSG probably won't do any harm, though it's best avoid potentially harmful substances, both in foods we give to our pets, and for ourselves.

Does msg have side effects?

I believe my aches and joint stiffnes are aggrevated by intake of foods high in MSG, such as donner kebabs, Chinese style spare ribs.

I have no proof of this, only more pronounced discomport/pain and stiffnes after consuming the above foods, this usually occurs within 24/36 hours after eating.

On a website, making people aware of the side effects of MSG, that soy sauce also contains MSG, I regularly take this with my food..

I will cease doing so
