According to the 2000 Ford Excursion Owner Guide the 6.8 liter , V10 engine

cooling system capacity is 28.5 U.S. quarts ( and if it is equipped with the

auxiliary rear heater it takes 30.0 U.S. quarts )

So , if you want a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and preferably distilled water , it

would take ( 14.25 to 15.0 U.S. quarts of antifreeze )

I have a 2003 diesel Excursion and had a vibration in the front also. After inspection i found it was the driver side drag link that connects middle way of the vechicle to the pitman arm. this solved my problem and hopfully your's. it was $185.00 at my local ford dealer

I have a 2001 Excursion Limited. It should be identical to the 2002. Just to the right of the headlight switch should be what I call a roller switch. It just rolls up and down. To dim them, just roll it downward. It will also turn on your convenience lights when rolled all the way upward.

be carefulf changing the bulbs!! especially the tail lights!! i tried to change my brake light one time and one of the prongs broke in the housing so i had to get a whole new taillight housing it was like 200 dollars for my 99 malibu.....blah. what kind of bulbs are you replacing?

I have an '01 diesel Excursion. I go through batteries about 1x per year, but only replaced my alternator 1x in 6 years.

Your vehicle has a factory set 5 digit code that operates the keyless entry system. You can also program your own 5 digit personal entry code as long as you know the factory-set code. The factory-set code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove compartment. If that card is missing, see your local Ford dealer.

Simply add fuel to the tank, then cycle the ignition key a few times to forward position without engaging the starter and then it should start fine, assuming that the fuel pump is functioning properly and that the fuel shut off has not been activated. I beleve the fuel shutoff/reset is behind the front passenger kick panel.

The Fuel pump itself is $112 and you will have to by the strainer/filter(which goes on the end of it) for $9.99. I did mine myself so I cant help with the labor....it was a 2 hour job.

If all else seems fine, could be restricted converter which will get bad enough to where it won't start at all.

Use a ball joint seperator, basically a wedge with a void in the center to allow for the tapered shaft that is in the ball joint. I have had to use two wedges and sometimes 4lb hammers but the seperator is fairly inexpensive and it makes it a lot easier. You can purchase them in different sizes at most auto parts stores.
