below the relays are a row of mini fuse. fourth from the left is a 15 amp. That is also the horn fuse. It powers the cruise as well. Should have a fuse puller in the cover for the fuses.

Each vehicle may be slightly different but the procedures are close. 1. Drain the radiator or use a bucket/pan to catch coolant as it comes out from the engine or radiator. 2. Unfasten the clamps which are at both ends of the hose; clamps may be screw type or spring type (use the appropiate tools). Also other hoses/equipment may have to be moved to get the clamps off. 3. Pull the radiator hose ends loose using a rocking and/or rotating motion (hoses may be tight and may require a little prying with a screwdriver between the hose and the flange where it is connected. 4. Installation is the opposite of removal. The flanges may have to be cleaned if really dirty and make sure that if screw type clamps are used that they are not overtightened (screw clamps can cut the new hose if they are to tight). 5. Refill the radiator and reservoir to the proper levels, then follow the steps below; a. let the car run until it warms up completely b. shut it off for about 15-30 minutes. c. re-check and refill the coolant system as needed. I might add that if one hose is bad they both need replacing. Also bleed all air from the system.

My Ford Excursion is equipped with a V10 and has 4 wheel drive and gets exactly 7 miles to the gallon in the city.

The engine block heater cord on the Ford Edge can be found in a number of places depending on the year of the vehicle. On some models the cord can be found on top of the engine in a black box. Other models have the cord near the front grill on the driver's side in a black box.

Replace the door lock actuator/solenoid. They get destroyed with moisture or burned out if someone's leg leans on them for a long period.

On the bellhousing next to the engine. Follow the big positive battery cable.

Whatever your owner's manual states. Don't have an owner's manual then get one. Dealer, salvage yard, E-Bay, or many online sites are sources. Google search. In the mean time call a Ford dealer to find out the proper coolant.

Generally when the head gets replaced you would also want to replace your plugs as well. It can sometimes be a result from where the water has traveled into the oil from a bad head. I replaced mine with bosch platinum 2 and haven't regretted it for 2 years.

Once replaced a radiator hose on a 78 Datson (Nissan). If you cannot afford or find the proper hose, you can improvise. In my case, I was installing a Volvo station wagon radiator and the fittings were reversed!

As old hose way too short, I got a 16 inch piece of threaded iron pipe in 2 inch diameter and got the length I needed by using clamps to splice in the piece. Radiator was so over-sized that it made the car run cold so I changed the thermostat that regulates the temp. The old clamps are usually so rusted up, one cannot reuse them anyway so use Stainless steel ones from the hardware store or parts house.

Ok...I'll be the first to admit that I am no expert when it comes to diesel engines. I will say this, I drove an 18 wheeler for 12 years. Every one I've ever owned, used or brand new, smoked white smoke when started....especially when cold. As soon as they warmed up a little it quit. I wouldn't rule out a worn head gasket either though. Keep an eye on your coolant level. If you aren't loosing or using any, you can probably rule out the head gasket. It could be possible that the turbo is also a little worn. But this should be a blueish white smoke. Keep an eye on your oil level. I hope that helps. Maybe someone with better info will chime in.

8.3 qrts with a full flush, or else half the fluid will stay in the torqe converter. if you drain and fill it should be about 5 because you only drain about half the oil.
