Make your way to the front of the engine, remove the plastic v-belt cover from the power steering pump inlet, the sensor sits just above the crank pulley. There's a plastic plug with two wires which needs to be pulled out from the knock/crank sensor. Then use a small spanner to loosen the 2 screws on either side of the sensor.

Yes you can bypass it with a small item available from "Shiftkits Australia" where they sell a Ford Smartlock Bypass Module and give the instructions on how to actually fit it as well - it don't get better than that now does it???

The indicator fuse on a Ford Falcon EB is located under the driver's side kickplate. To reach the fuse, the driver's side door needs to be opened.

Heater core will come out under the dash on the passenger side. it is possible to change the core without removing the heater housing. there was two different size cores as I remember but both will fit.

Most likely will need a new actuator/regulator. (The scissor thing that winds the window up and down) I had to replace mine. Better to get them new, but I think the driver's side one is obselete now. You'll have to remove the trim on the inside of the door, remove the glass (it's held on by 2 little plugs), and replace it.

It changes the gear change rpm in you automatic transmission. It will rev out to higher rpm before changing into the next gear which will make your acceleration quicker and make the car more responsive but you will use a little more fuel. It doesn't actually give your engine any more horsepower as such.

unhook both battery cables for a few minutes

Step 1 - Remove the Center Radio Fascia.
remove the ashtray and remove the 2 screws that hold the bottom of the "center radio fascia" in.

pull the bottom of the "center radio facia" out to reveal the upper retaining clips that hold the top in. remove the clips and the fascia.

on some models you'll also need to unplug the cigarette lighter as well.

Step 2 Disconnect the Battery ground cable

Step 3 Remove the Instrument Surround Facia.
There are 3 screws above the instruments and two along the bottom of the fascia. one on either side of the steering column.
Partially remove the fascia, so you can unplug the switches that are built into the fascia. boot release, fuel door release, rear demister, etc.
Once all the switches built into the fascia have been unplugged you can fully remove the fascia.

The BCM is about the same size as a book and is located in front of your left knee when sitting in the driving position. it can be several different colors, including blue or yellow

loosen the BCM mounting screws and

Unplug the wiring loom plugs from the module, depending on your model and features there may be 2 or 3 plugs.
loosen the BCM mounting screws and remove the BCM

Done

There 3 basic unit types

Standard basic unit = 2 plugs
Mid series unit - includes power windows = 3 plugs
High series unit - includes power antenna = 3 plugs

If you are replacing the BCM, take note of the code printed on the unit and be sure to get a replacement unit with a matching code.

you have to get upside down with your head under the dash. you will need to feel with your fingers. feel for a split pin that goes thru a thin rod. remove the split pin and then slide the rod back thru the switch and brake pedal.

Easy. Tools needed: 15/16 or 1 inch spanner (can't be 100%sure)

14 or 17 mm ring/open ender spanner (same, can't be 100% sure) Crack off the "outer" nut of the adjuster of the desired belt you wish to changer. Turn the "inner" to back off the tension. Remove belt. To put the new belt on just slip the belt on. To adjust, just turn the inner part of the adjuster and lock it up by holding the inner part firm and locking the outer nut. Done. Obviously if you have to change any of the inner belts you will have to do this procedure with all the belts cos their all the same setup. Check the tensioner bearing whilst the belts are off for noise. Replace bearings if necessary.
