Half tank (middle) - 33 ohms

Empty position (down) - 95 ohms

If it is a manual with a carb the fuel pump is bolted to the head. If it is FI the fuel pump is on top of/in the gas tank.

Probably this is caused by a faulty Motor mount or Transmission mount. Inspect the mounts and if faulty, replace them. They are not repairable. If you have an old car that you cannot find new ones at the McParts store, check out the local Junk Yards......there are sometimes cars other than yours that uses the same parts. Ask the Man for an interchangeability list.

A used Ford Fiesta can be bought at several car dealerships including the Ford dealership themselves, Carmax, and local car dealerships.

The fuel filter is located in the engine compartment on the driver's side of firewall. It can be recognized as a cylinder with a diameter of about 2 inches and 3 inches tall. It has a fuel line going in the bottom and a fuel line comming out of the top. If you go to a part store, be sure to get one for fuel injection if you have that or one for carborated if you have that. The part guy didn't know that there were two types on the Festive and tried to give me a small plastic fuel filter with both fuel lines on the top. The lines are under pressure so watch out (disconnect the negative post on the battery and trip the inertia switch to releave the pressure or buy the fuel relief tool from your part dealer.

The Tail light assembly is mounted by two Philips head screws located near the boot rubber, take them out and slide the tail light assembly away from the center of the car. Then Bob's your Auntie.

Broken or weak spring on the timing chain tensioner?

Worn out timing chain doesn't seem possible on a Festiva, mine's

never been replaced and just turned 334,000 miles.

I once had a problem with a Chevy Luv that threw me.

It idled perfectly, like a clock, with 120 PSI on all four cyl,

but rev it up any, and it backfired and went back to idle-

I've heard from reliable sources that the B3 Ford Festiva 1.3 liter motor produces 63HP and appx. 76 foot pounds of torque, a lot for a 4 banger this is why its an adequate match for the 1.5L 88HP Civic

The transmission fluid capacity on a Ford Festiva is 3.75 litres for a manual transmission.

I know this seems obvious but you didn' mention checking the ignition switch. Possibly the start contacts are ok but the run contacts are open. This will result in the symptoms you mention.

Replace The Timing Cover Gasket

pull fuel pump out ,access cover under rear seat. run hot and groung wires directly to pump from battery.

The cable most likely snapped near the rear wheels where it passes through a hole on the rear arm. I fixed mine by buying a garage door cable repair kit at the hardware store. ...just a few dollars. I bought the kit for the small wire clamps. I also got some stainless steel conveyor belt pins about the thickness of a wire coat hanger. (Tried that too, but they rust). Inside the car, loosen the cable at the handle as much as possible. Cut the pins to length needed, allowing some extra to hook the ends. Put the pin through the rear arm holes and bend the end sharply. Attach the ends of the pin to the broken cable ends with the wire clamps. You might as well do the other side of the car too. The cable is most likely weakened there as well. As long as you have the car up on stands, it's a good time to get inside the rear wheels and free up the rest of the brake linkage inside. Finally, snug up the adjustment nut on the hand brake lever. Be safe...use good solid stands.

Buy a new CV Axle Halfshaft and a new axle nut comes with it.

remove the two screws holding face plate in center of steering wheel and remove plate. next remove large nut in center. Using a steering wheel puller remove steering wheel. next there is a pin next tothe lock cylinder. that will have to be driven inwith a hammer and a punch. lock cylinder should be able to be pulled out. installation is the reverse of removal.
