It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure the 'firing order' for the mk 2 fiesta is 1-3-4-2. So if you look at engine from the front #1 cylinder is the left one (furthest from distributor). The easiest way to align you engine timing/firing order is to remove the cam-belt cover on the left-hand side of engine (10mm socket, bit of a squeeze). You will now be able to see the timing marks on the cam pulley wheel & engine block, to line these up put the car in 1st gear and rock/push the car enough to turn the pulley without starting the car. you now have the firing position for #1 cylinder, the 'dizzy' cap only fits one way so fit lead for #1 where the rota arm is positioned, bear in mind the engine rotates anti-clockwise as look across engine bay from near side or towards you if you standing in front. Fit lead for #3, #4 then #2.

You need to be specific as to engine type (diesel or petrol, and then which size or type of diesel or petrol), and also quote year and/or Mk number. All have different sump plugs, oil filters and so on.

Oil pressure ok? Overheating? Too thin oil? Are you sure it's not an exhaust leak that opens up when hot? Could be a bad valve...maybe the superconductor or the liquid helium...just kidding...could also be timing...bad gas...heat shield rattle ... etc..good luck :)

Bad/loose connection. Make sure all your bulbs are in correctly and securely.

Visit a Ford dealer or Halfords etc and purchase a double sided mirror sticker.
Remove the old sticker from the mirror arm. Clean the windscreen and back of mirror using methylated spirits. Put the sticker on the mirror. Then stick to windscreen on the existing silver base plate. This is more effective in warm conditions.

Assuming not diesel. Could be your catalytic converter becoming blocked

I presume that the car is ok when ticking over? It is most likely to be the fuel pump relay switch, basically the car is not getting enough petrol for you to accelerate but is just enough to tick over. Do you also have a problem with the lights coming on and the fuel gauge not registering?

just look for a big white or blue cyilinder that is cumin off the engine block and there it is but make sure you drain the oil 1st and if you buy a replacement with a dent in the bottom of it take it back because its got a pressure relise valve for if the filter is all blocked it will allow the oil 2 flow throw even of its dirty
