How do viruses have genetic material but they are not alive?
Viruses are not considered alive because they cannot reproduce on their own. They must invade another cell or bacteria and implant their genetic material into that organism's genome in order to replicate.
What is the most common static route used in a host computer?
the default gateway is the most common static route used in a host computer.
netstat -r is the command line command to obtain the routing table.
Why are most genetic defects related to enzyme function recessive disorders?
Most genetic defects related to enzyme function are recessive because most are lethal and can only persist because heterozygote carriers can live to reproduce.
Is it possible to have a genetic mutation that lets you have bone claws like wolverine?
Yes, new research is being done that suggests it is possible to mold DNA to give humans any power or ability of their choice.
IT depends if both parents have it on their genes (X and Y) as Dominant or Recessive, If one of them is dominant, you better expect to get it unless the other parent has a DOminant Counter-Gene

Bateria exchange genetic material?
Bacteria exchange genetic material, in the form of plasmids, through conjugation. Conjugation is achieved when a pili from once cell attaches to the cell wall of another cell..
How far is too far in genetic modifications?
That is something we probably won't know until we get there.
As an example, there is probably more resistance to meddling with human genes than with insects. Still, if somebody someday discovers a genetic modification that can make people immune to cancer, it is hard so see that there will be a lot of protests.
Genetic modifications to make yourself or your children more beautiful would probably follow, by extension from the cosmetic surgery we have today.
The question is tricky because it is a mix of morality, practical concerns (like unintended side effects) and very large potential benefits.
How is genetic information coded in DNA?
DNA contains the code for synthesizing proteins. DNA transcribes itself into MRNA (memory RNA), which then leaves the nucleus and translates into TRNA (Transfer RNA) which goes around the cell to retrive the amino acids that were coded into the DNA. It comes back to the MRNA which is now attached to a ribosome and proteins are created.
Genetic engineering is the the use of various methods to manipulate the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)of cells to produce biological products or to change hereditary traits
Why would child get bullied or abused?
A child gets bullied because they are probably smarter than the bully or weaker than the bully. Sometimes the bully bullies that child for no reason at all.
the contain what you look like and mabye what your kids will look like but i might be wrong
Is there genetic testing for retinoblastoma?
Yes, there is, and it is recommended if you have a family history of retinoblastoma. One lab that performs genetic testing is Retinoblastoma Solutions,
How much money does a hotel engineer earn?
An Assistant Chief makes about 50,000/yr
A Chief makes about 70,000/yr
How can one detect polymorphism by genetic marker?
One can detect polymorphism by genetic marker using single-nucleotide polymorphism which is able to even tell mutation of a gene.
Who is the best clone in the Star Wars clone army?
Since they are clones, they are all the same person, ergo none is better than any other.
Major zeo: Actually that's not true all clones are not the same some are trained differently and it was said by the kmainoans that arc troopers, clone commandos, and the 501st were the best. (no im not lying and this is not my opinion this is a fact and was said by the kaminoans)
The use of genetic engineering to transfer human genes into bacteria?
This results in bacteria expressing human proteins or genes.
You wouldn't be able to see it because all the important steps are microscopic. First the DNA of a normal cell is removed and placed inside an egg cell which has had it's own DNA removed. (That is for artificial cloning of course.) The egg cell is then placed in a surrogate mother and develops as a normal child would. (Except that it would be geneticly identical to the individual who donated the DNA and have no relation to the surrogate mother.)
What is the Location of genetic material in a cell?
DNA located in nucleus as well as mitochondria in the cell.
genetic engernering
Edited answer;
Bt gene synthesizing the desired proteinTE stands for Tris and EDTA. The Tris buffers the water to prevent acid hydrolysis of the DNA/RNA. The EDTA chelates divalent cations that can assist in the degradation of RNA.
When sperm and egg combine what percentage of the genetic information comes from each parent?
50% from each parent in other words 23 chromosomes donated per parent.
