All of France. France surrerder after being invaded by Nazi Germany.

Was Sweden occupied in WW2?

It is an absurd to think that Germany was occupied unless it was a self occupation kind od happening. Any way, in 1938 Germany joined austria by Anschluss to it's 3rd Reich and begin in 1939 it's occupation by taking over Poland (after only 2 weeks of fightings). in acording to the riventrop-molotov agreement the ussr took control of some parts of Poland as well as the baltic countries. In 1940 the ussr begin fighting against the finish with the help of Germany over Finland and won some tertorial grounds.

In 1940 Germany occupied denemark and Norway, In may fell belgium and holand. these victoried made it possible to atack France from the north-east. In June 1940 France was divided to two parts and the northern part was occupied by Germany eventhough there were not a lot of soldiers there- it was more a colabratory between northern fance and the 3rd Reich.

In June 1941 begin Germany with help from the finish, Hungary and romanien to fight on the eastern front in order to take over the ussr and by that breaking the riventrop-molotov agreement, during that period the srd Reich occupied the baltic countries, the ukraien and parts of the ussr, but also found it's downfall.

Where state and-or town did the Wonder Years take place?

If I remember correctly, it took them 4-6 hours to drive to their vacation at Ocean City, Maryland. I'm also not sure about this, but I believe I remember hearing something about New York. Depending on where in New York they lived, this is very possible. However, I don't think I ever remember seeing snow on the show. LOL

Why did Germany declare war on France in World War 1?

After Germany declared war on Russia to help Austria-Hungary (who was attacked by Russia after they attacked Serbia), France made clear their intent to stand by their ally (Russia, obviously), so Germany declared war on them, too, planning to take them out then go after Russia to prevent a two-front war. Unluckily for Germany, Russia prepared pretty quickly so Germany had to send troops to the Eastern Front as well and fight a two-front war.

How much money do circus workers make?

nice question! :)

it is very depending on: what circus, what country, kind and quality of number, when!

+ - I think minimum it is about 80 euro for 1 show 1 number

but there are and vip numbers that can get for 1 show 2000 euro

and I am sure it is not a limit!

:) The above is a good reply but it is basically how much the particular circus can afford rather than the quality of the act. Some very good acts sometimes perform with a smaller circus rather than be out of work and, remember, some circuses close without paying the artistes for some weeks!

Why did john boyne write the holocaust into The Boy in the Striped Pajamas?

Because the novel wouldn't have made any sense without it. Bruno lived next door to arguably the most notorious concentration camp of the Second World War, where the Jews were suffering through the Holocaust. A huge part of the plot would've been missing without mentioning Auschwitz - and by association - the Holocaust.

How Hitler failed and succeeded?

The Nazi Party failed for a number of reasons. 1) They spread out their troops amongst the world, not in one attacking force. The biggest known mistake was Operation Barbossa where Hitler attacked Russia. He expected to quickly conquer Russia but did not realize the will of the Red Army. The German army was supplied with summer clothes as the attack on Russia was in the summer. However, the Russians held out until the winter where most of the German soldiers either froze to death or lost the will to fight. 2) They ran out of resources. Germany did not supply key battlefields in the war. Hitler was not concerned with the African Korps and did not supply them with food and oil so they were basically starved. When the African Korps ran out of oil they could not hold the southern end of the battlefield so Italy was open for attack, and later southern Germany. 3) Hitler killed most of the leadership when they began to fail, and replaced them with inexperienced leaders. 4) German scientists defaulted and refused to continue building the Atomic Bomb. Albert Einstein is one notable scientist that assisted America in building the nuclear warhead. If this had no occured, it is quite possible the Germany could have developed the weapon and used it to win the war.

Who disagreed with the idea to pay speculators the full value of the government bonds that they had bought during the Revolutionary War?

Thomas Jefferson didn't want to pay the speculators at the full value because they basically made everyone else poor. Speculators generally lived in the north, so that would focus all the power and prestige in the north. Thomas Jefferson opposed this viewpoint as he was from the south. Alexander Hamilton was the man who came up with the plan.

I know this because I have to write a huge essay on it right now. I'm actually procrastinating. Hope this helps.

Why did England appease Hitler?

"You seriously need to check your history. England (Britain in fact, not just England) NEVER gave in to Hitler." Actually, I think the problem here is the way the person worded the question. It is indeed correct to say England did not "give in" (as in surrender), but many people felt that Neville Chamberlain, whose policy as prime minister was to appease Hitler, gave in to him. Chamberlain truly believed that he could bargain with Hitler and that Hitler would compromise. Hitler, of course, had NO intention to compromise, and when Chamberlain came back home to England claiming he had basically prevented a war, and that there would be "peace in our time," he found out all too soon that Hitler had no intention of compromising, nor did he want peace. Chamberlain's serious mistake was trying to appease Hitler, and as I said, many people saw that as "giving in" to him.

How did nazi Germany restrict emigration of German Jews?

In September 1941 the emigration of Jews from Nazi Germany was forbidden altogether. Before that it was generally possible for them to leave Germany provided that they had somewhere to go to and could actually get there. One of the biggest restrictions was the reluctance of other countries to accept Jews.

They had to pay extortionate sums for permission to leave Germany ... Please bear in mind that with the start of World War in September 1939 international communications were severely disrupted.

Incidentally, in 1939 or 1940 rules were introduced restricting the number of Jews emigrating from any one Jewish household.

During the era of the Holocaust, German authorities also targeted other groups because of their perceived "racial inferiority": Roma (Gypsies), the disabled, and some of the Slavic peoples (Poles, Russians, and others). Other groups were persecuted on political, ideological, and behavioral grounds, among them Communists, Socialists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Homosexuals.
