Ha, I am answering my own question! I actually found some helpful diagrams on the Toyota website, but as they were generic, I had to do a little bit of detective work... Anyway here is what I found out: 1. Air Filter- It is a little black box that is under a bunch of hoses to the right of the engine. You have to loosen up a screw first, then undue some clamps and then physically remove the hoses. It sounds like a lot but it really isn't that big of a deal. Just make sure to remember where everything goes when you are done! It took about 2 minutes from start to finish...what a money saver! They were trying to charging me $25 to change, but I did it myself for $7! 2. Cabin Filter- This one was a bit harder to find...but once i found it, it was a piece of cake. I was looking under my hood for ages...when it dawned on me, that maybe it wasn't under the hood! To find it, go into your glove compartment inside the car (the one on the bottom) and remove the whole drawer, and there you go, it's right there! Slide out the tray, pinch the filter to install, replace in original position...and voila! Less than one minute and you are done! I was charged $14 at Autozone for this filter...but they were trying to charge me over $40 at the place where I had my oil changed. Hopefully this helps!

The Denali option in the Envoy usually has the 5.3 V8 and gets, surprisingly, about the same gas mileage, but provides more power. The "Extended" models loose fuel economy due to extra weight.

in the car, press and hold your garage button until it begins to blink, while holding your regular garage door opener near to envoy button. While pressing both buttons, the light should flash rapidly and then go out. You should then have succesfully programed it. If not, try it again, some times needs to learn codes for your garage.

open rear door, remove Phillip screws, the in tire assembly comes out, now you have access's to bulbs.

I recently had my battery replaced when I noticed the same thing happen to me. I replaced one mode door actuator with no change. I think the head unit needs to be reprogrammed at the factory for my issue. I'll write back after I try this.

You have two O2 sensors. The most common one to replace is the one on the exhaust manifold on the passenger side. (about $50) Pull off sensor connector plug. Unscrew it. Screw new one in. Re-attach sensor plug.

First you must remove the plastic section from the area inside the truck. Pulls off.

You must first open the lift gate, on the portion of the taillights that are now exposed you will see two screws, remove these screws and then pull the tail light assembly toward you.Depending on model you will have two or three bulbs.

go to your local parts store. get the right pads for your envoy. 1.remove cover protecting lug nuts, 2.loosen lud nuts..DO NOT TAKE OFF YET 3. LIFT VEHICLE AT APPROPRIATE JACK POINT (shown to you in your factory manual)it will be safer if you have jack stands for support. i don't just trust the jack provided. 4.once car is in the air take off lug nuts, and remove tire 5.you will see the pads and caliper. there are 2 bolts holding it in place. remove bolts with a 13 mm socket. 6. now with a caliper seperator you need to push back in the pistons( there are two and oval shaped. 7. once you do that replace the old pads with new and put everything back in its appropriate place, and repeat for the other side

i have recently encountered this on my 2002 GMC Envoy. After removing many of the underdash parts, ie, shroud under the dashboard, and some of the plastic vent ducts i identified the source of the sound. There are three separate actuator motors that help to control which vents the air comes out of, ie defroster, dashboard vents, or foot vents or some combination therof. One of the actuator motors is causing the clicking sound. Unfortuantely, you can only change the lower actuator motor from the bottom, the other two SEEM to have to be accessed by removing the dashboard and/or center control panel. I am currently researching this to perform the repair myself, because a trip to the dealer is certainly not going to be inexpensive.

I believe it has 4 1- in Y pipe exhaust under drivers floor, 1 in Y pipe exhaust under passenger floor 1 just before Catalytic Converter and 1 just after Catalytic Converter.

DTC P1221 code is: Excessive Difference Between Throttle Position Sensors which means there is something wrong with the electronic throttle positioning sensor system, probably needs replaced
