The biggest tire size you can put on aGMC snoma or s-10 2wheel drive or 4 wheel drive is p235R15 in front and 31x10.5R15 in back. with out lift. The second problem is the 4.3 liter v6 will not have enough power after 33s.Third the speedometer is computer controlled and 31s will be fine any bigger and you will might have problems. On the zr2 models you have larger wheel clearance and a poise rear end. The forth problem is you might have to extend the brake lines. The fifth problem is the tire it self on a 15 inch wheel any 15 inch diameter size. it does not mater how wide the tire is but you might wont to check wheel well clearance. and enjoy I my self have a 2wd s-10 and 31s in back I do not nead any thing else I've never got stock and I have gong places where 4wd would not have gong. remember this the s-10 does not weight a lot and you will not sink as much as a full size truck.

A bad O2 sensor can affect gas mileage. It is an emissions sensor, so when it goes bad, it does not reflect emissions performance on the car, which could cost a lot in gasoline.

The brake light switch is located on the brake pedal. Before you replace this switch rule out all other electrical components. The switch is inexpensive but it's a hassle to replace.

First get the switch and there is a retainer clip that you must have, because as you remove the old one you most likely will destroy it, trying to get it off. Is is best to get the parts from a Chevrolet dealer, I believe the clip is a "dealer" only part.

You have to disconnect the brake booster from the brake pedal to have access to the switch. Once you have that "pry" off the retainer clip (if you can get it off without detroying it, reuse it) otherwise you will need to ue the new one. Once that clip is off the switch should "slide" off of the brake pedal easily. Don't yank it because you still need to remove the electrcal connection.

To install the new one just reverse the process.

The retaining clip is the most difficult part of this job. The clip is a round spinning clip that slides onto the shaft of the brake pedal stem. You need to get a small screwdriver and work at finding the round part where there is a gap. you need to pry this gap apart until you can get something else behind it. Re-installing is quite difficult as you need to get your arm around the entire brake light switch. This will be a difficult job and may take several hours just to pry the clip. The dealer only stocks this clip, the autozones, etc do not have it. Be careful not to destroy the brake light switch as I did ($10.00). If you are lucky and have a small air ratchet you can take the 4 bolts to the firewall off in a few minutes. Once you have the clip off, this is a quick job. I would estimate this to be a full hour job w/o the clip issue at best. With the clip it turned into a 4-5 hour job for me. I should note that this was done in my situation to fix a broken power booster pump. Also, you should not have to bleed the brakes after this as long as you leave the master cylinder alone.

If you can do it yourself, it is not very expensive at all. A couple of dollars for each spark plug and maybe 50 for the wires. I would also replace any other ignition components that are wear items if you are going to replace plugs and wires. My car had a cap and rotor that I also replaced for minimal money. If you have a garage do it, expect to pay several hundred dollars.

No tools required. Raise the hood. On the backside of the core support there will be two plastic strips behind each headlamp assembly. Pull upward on the strips for the affected assembly. When they disengage, pull slightly upward and outward on the assembly. Unplug wiring as desired and replace bulbs or the entire assembly. Headlight bulbs are 9005 and 9006's. To reinstall engage the lower tabs of the assembly in the slots in the core support, then push the two prongs through the square hole. Reinstall the strips and close the hood.

open the door. to the edge there will be a black cap. pop that off. you will need a extension with a 10mm socket. you will have to pop the door panel off to get to the other one. its the same thing. then you will have to take your linkages out so you can get the door handle right out.

Check your battery, neutral/park switch, brake switch (if part of immobilizer).

There are several freeze plugs and there are at least 2 different sizes on the 2.2L 4 cylinder. They are located on either side of the engine block a few inches below the cylinder head. Some of them are visible when looking from the front drivers side under/behind the front bumper and behind the exhaust manifold. It's dark so you will probably need a flashlight so see them.

I RECENTLY AND PUT IN A 1995 4.3 Litre 262 C.I. MOTOR IN MY 1985 TRUCK, USED HEADS INTAKE AND EXHAUST OFF the 1985 MOTOR...BUT IF YOU TRY TO DO THIS PLEASE REMEMBER TO INSTALL AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP and fuel regulator if going to newer style motor.....

torque specs for 1985 Chevy 4.3 Litre V-6 which basically is the same motor until 1995 other than a valast shaft, and roller lifters in the newer one i put in the truck, which was throttle body fuel injected, instead of carburated

but the late models are not compatible in some parts:

including the timing chain and gears and the cover for timing chain ,plus there was 4 different flywheel patterns for the 1995 model motor which means there is four different crank shafts for it also: but the 1985 model automatic transmissionbolted right up no problems........ might be a good thought to know too if you get needing one, the automatics bolt up on certain models of the motors at least

and there is a difference between the manual transmission version motor and the automatic on newer models too is my understanding.

1985 model has mechanical lifters and 1995 has roller lifters if you find this when doing a motor changeyou better start looking for a new timing chain cover because the 1995 model has an valnce shaft it the top of it right where the intake bolts in, cant miss seeing it there, that is driven by the timing chain, which changes the shape of the timing chain and gears cover.ok bolt specs were:::::

sequence should be very similar to Chevy 350 models...

and remember heads and intake manifold should be torqued in a set of 3 groups

for instance cylinder heads to block is 65 foot pounds but should be torqued at 35 50 65 in appropriate sequence.....sorry don't have torque sequence anymore.........

yes it will fit. you will have to make your motor mounts or try to find someone that makes them. I think you will need a mini high torque starter and if you have a 4.3 then the transmission will bolt up. I am not sure this is all you will need, but it is the things I know you will need.

It's probably slipping on the pulleys. Belt tension is loose or it may need lubrication (yes belts do need it occasionally) A few drops of dish soap are a good bet or a little motor oil but that may break down the belt in the long run.

No, a 95 GMC Sonoma does not use a timing belt on it. The 95 GMC Sonoma uses a timing chain on it.

As far as I know, the only way to do that is to turn the daytime running lights off. Not sure how to do that in the 4.3 liter, but in my 2002 with a 2.2L, there's a button near the headlight switch. Just push it in 4 times in a row to turn the DRL's off. You should hear a chime after the fourth time you push it. Repeat the process to turn them back on.

First and foremost, make sure you have a diagram before removing the old belt. If there isn�t one under the hood, get out the pencil and paper and draw it out labeling the pullies and arrows pointing to the direction the belt travels on them. Save this paper in the glove compartment when the job is done for future reference. As far as replacing goes, it depends on the engine. Believe it or not, they are different amongst manufacturers, makes and models, so Bclear! If there is a spring loaded tensioner, you�ll need to turn the tensioner back to relieve pressure, and slide the belt off the tensioner pulley. Depending on the tensioner, you may be able to use a socket wrench with the right socket, 3/8� drive with socket wrench, or in some cases, you�ll need a tool that is meant for just this called a belt tensioner wrench. After it is relieved of tension, the belt can be removed. The new one gets routed the same, if you can�t remember, refer to your diagram. If you didn�t make one and can�t remember, listen closely and you�ll hear me laughing at you. Some belts require motor mounts to be removed and some are just plain nasty, such as the 1.9 motor found in ford escorts. If there is no tensioner. Look for a bolt going through a bracket that the alternater or power steering mounts to. Loosen the bolt, pry back whatever components keeps tension, and replace the belt. Make the tension respectfully taunt and tighten bolt back down after the belt is replaced..

It does this by heating a wire in the sensor to a certain temperature and as the air flows past it cools the wire. The amount of current it takes to maintain the temperature lets the ECM know how much air it ingested by the motor and calculates the amount of fuel that is need.

GM recommends you use the orange Dex Cool. Personally, I think it's crap, and, after completely flushing the Dex Cool out of the cooling system, I've been running universal green coolant.
