You disconnect the hoses. Then remove the heater core cover from the engine compartment (oblong black thing bolted to the firewall on your left hand side, looking in). Wrestle that off and extract the heater core...swap out your new core and replace it all. It is that easy. I put in a coolant flush kit while I had it apart...flush your coolant system every few months for nothing. Good luck

I believe, if its like my GMC Jimmy, that the latch is connected to the vent window and has to be replaced as a whole assembly. I recently broke my vent window and got one from the local junk-yard, complete with latch. Now my problem is drilling out the rivets that hold the latch to the frame under the inside plastic, and the rivets that attach the front side (leading edge) under the weather-stripping to the inside of the door jamb.

Where is the ignition coil located on a 1990 GMC Vandura Van?
Assuming you have a distributor (my 1989 does), remove the console and doghouse, the distributor cap is the round component at the back of the engine on top that has either 7 or 9 wires on it depending on wether you have the 6 or 8 cylinder engine, the wire in the center leads to the ignition coil which should be very close to the distributor cap. I have also seen where the coil is installed on the top of the distributor cap so in this case there would not be a wire leading to it but I think this configuration is on older models.
Disconnect the battery, remove the coil and replace.

it's held on with little barbed, plastic posts, best way to get it off is by prying it, try to pry as close as possible to the post so not to damage the panel, also I have found that using a fast prying motion as opposed to the slow prying motion also prevents damage to the panel

On my 1989 it is attached to the inside of the frame just behind the rear axle, I think it's on the passenger side. It's a brass cylinder about the size of your hand and pretty easy to get at and remove.

Are both resivoirs supposed to have brake fluid in them? Because the container where you refill brake fluid is as full as it is supposed to be. Through the carburetor or advance or retard the distributor by turning the distributor cap barely left or right. If you cant turn it then loosen the bolt holding the distributor on to the intake with a wrench then turn the distributor til the engine sounds like its not missing or not to where it's about to turn off.
