the window mechanism could be off track or bent, also try putting some grease on the mechanism joints and gears
You need to check the fuel pump.
If it a Rochester carberator, there is no mixture adjustment. That is an internal setting done when the carburetor was put together or at the time of rebuilding. The only adjustments you can make is to the idle and choke
I have a 93' 2500 vandura and It failed smog and I advanced the Timing a tiny bit and it passed....yaaaaay
How do you take off rear brake drums on 1987 GMC Vandura 3500?
They just slip on over the studs so all you have to do is remove the tire. However, if they have been there for a long time they might have corroded themselves and become stuck so best way I found is with a soft faced hammer and wail on the drum all around the edge until it breaks free.
What size motor doe a 1993 GMC Vandura 2500 have?
My 93' vandura has a 5.7 liter 350cubic inch engine.
I have also had this problem. I can't remember the name of it. I was sooo confused when I seen it. Just take it out and bring it to your parts store. Thing just gets corroded over time. It didn't cost that much.
*It happened to my van also. It was weird it mounts upside down. Not to expensive to fix.
It is a heater control valve and costs around $14 at Autoz-one or Kragen.
Where is the battery on a 1990 GMC Vandura?
Open the hood and it's on the drivers side to the right as you stand in front of the van. It's a side post and battery is usually held down by a clamp on the bottom.

What is the towing capacity of a GMC Vandura 2500?
I have a 1990 gmc vandura 2500 conversion van with the 350 v8 5.7 litre engine. According to the tag found in the glove box, at the front between the two front seats, it has a max towing capacity of 6600lbs. I am currently towing a trailer that is 6200lbs with no problems at all. An RV dealership told me that my 89 g2500 (non-conversion) had a towing capactiy of 7500lbs when I had the brake controler installed. My trailer is 5000lbs and the van tows it well, you know it's there (especially going uphill) but the drivetrain never has to struggle, just has to work harder. Make sure you have an aux cooler for your transmission and a heavy duty radiator installed prior to towing.
Why does the brakes pull to right?
You most likely have a bad brake caliper on the side that it pulls to.
Where to find the speed sensor on a 1990 GMC Vandura?
Drivers side near the rear of the transmission. Just a side note, I changed mine because my speedo stopped working. It was not the problem. I replaced the speedo cluster from a junk yard from a 1993 model. I had to change the panel surrounding it, but it looks better and the speedo now works! I THINK if the speed sensor is bad, then you would have shifting problems. Also, I THINK the speedometers from that year/style was not good. Every cluster from the junkyards were removed, forcing me to take a chance at a newer model to see if it would work. And I am glad I did - plugged right in!
What is the correct tire pressure for a 1980 vandura 35 motorhome?
It's 55psi for the front and back...I have the vehicle and that's what it says above wheel arches.
What size engine in 1991 GMC Vandura 2500 van?
.all I can say is my '92 2500 vandura has a 350 in and it does the job...don't know if all of 'em are the same size or not dt
I have a '87 GMC Rally STX van, but I think the vehicle speed sensor is similar; The sensor is located just behind the speedometer in the instrument cluster on the dashboard. You access it by removing the instrument panel (carefully). You will need to disconnect the speedometer wire and the electric socket before pulling the instrument cluster out. The vehicle speed sensor is a very simple and reliable component. Not likely to fail. From what you say about the speedometer 'shutting off', I would be inclined to think there is something wrong with the speedometer wire. This component won't last for ever and is probably worn out. Unless your transmission is electronically controlled (don't think the '92 models were), I don't think replacing the speedometer wire will address your transmission problem. I believe that is sorted out within the automatic transmission unit. The TV-cable must be intact and correctly adjusted for the transmission to shift correctly. The TV-cable connects the throttle with the gear-box. Hope this is helpful information.
Where do you get a diagram of the fuel system for a 1991 GMC Vandura 2500?
I bought a set of GMC shop manuals off ebay for $40. It comes with the fuel system book, wiring diagrams, light duty trucks and vandura and rally book. They have saved me on a lot of labor $$$ having them.
It filters the liquid refrigerant and meters the liquid entering the evap. coil which causes a drop in pressure and causes the liquid to boil and absorb heat from the interior of the car and transfer it to the atmosphere outside.
