Camp Confidential is just the name of the book but, Camp Lakeview is real.

It's a resort and christian camp in Pennsylvania.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor, educator and theologian. He had several opportunities to escape Germany and live with relatives and he actually traveled out of the country in the early days of the war. But he stayed in Germany and tried to resist the take over of the church by the Nazi's. He also performed some espionage activities by smuggling information out of Germany. He was arrested and held in medium security until the last months of the war when he was held in a secret prison and eventually executed.

Hermann Maas (1877-1970) was a German Protestant pastor who from about the age of 26 onwards was pro-Jewish and worked for understanding between Christians and Jews. On the other hand, technology has a way of developing. Scientists were already investigating the power that could be generated, but more from a theoretical perspective.
