How much should it cost to replace a starter in a 2003 Honda accord?

Somewhere between $150 and $500, depending on whether you do the work (it's very easy - you unhook the battery, disconnect two wires that are impossible to put in the wrong place because the connectors are shaped differently, remove two bolts, pull out the old starter, insert the new and put everything back the way it was) and the transmission you have - you have to pull the intake manifold on an automatic Accord and that requires new gaskets.

What size wiper blades for 2.4i Honda Accord 2005 reg?

All 2005 Honda Accords wiper blade sizes are 26" drivers and 18" passenger side wiper blades. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only. Be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.

Where is the location of the transmission dipstick for a manual 1994 Honda Accord DX?

First of all there is no dipstick on a manual transmission, they use a fill plug instead. The fill plug is located on the transmission right beside the half shaft (look right at the lower level of the CV shaft) the fill plug is there. When ever you remove the fill or drain plug you should change the crush washer. To fill the transmission properly, place vehicle on level ground, remove the fill plug and if fluid comes out then you should be okay. If the fluid is dirty, remove the drain plug. Then fill the transmission with 10W30 or 10W40 oil until the fluid comes out of the fill plug hole. Use a squeeze bottle with a long flexible hose inserted into the fill plug hole, it makes filling easier. The transmission capacity is 2 quarts. Hope this helps

What would cause the temperature gauge to read normal then jump to the highest mark on a 1989 Honda Accord?

Also, this could also be a corroded thermostat in need of replacement. This just happened to my '89 Accord where I needed to stop every 3-4 minutes and stop for 10 minutes and bleed the squealing steam from the radiator cap. It's an easy $25 fix. I couldn't figure it out and paid $120 bucks to the mechanic. The second answer is the correct one. Thank you. The engine is really overheating. You most likely need to put water /antifreeze in your radiator to fill it up to the top again -- driving for 3 or 4 years without changing the coolant will cause this temperature guage to go up and down - sometimes it would stay on hot and other times went up and down like a yo-yo. How do I know? Because I had an '89 that did this -- when I topped off the fluid, then it stopped. Yeah it was that simple.

How do you fill up the transmission fluid on an 1987 Honda Accord?

The place to fill it is a threaded hole in the side of the transmission that has a plug screwed into it. There are actually two....the lower one to drain the oil and the upper one for refilling purposes. Look near where the axle goes into the transmission. You refill until oil begins to run out. It's not easy to get it in there, though, because the hole goes in from the side. You will probably need a tube of some sort that fits into the hole on the lower end, and on the top side with the hood open you will use some type of funnel stuck into the tube. Not that it will take engine oil, not transmission fluid. Type (weight) of the oil will be in the manual, but I think it is 30 weight oil. If you do let the transmission run low (as a result of a leak or something) you can burn up 5th gear, as that is the highest one in the transmission and the one that runs low on oil first. You do NOT want to do that.

What is the best way to reattach loose fabric on a Honda Accord's head liner?

The headliner is made from a thin knit fabric bonded to a layer of polyfoam which is glued to a hard shell. Over the years, the foam deteriorates and the fabric drops away from the shell. You cannot reattach the fabric because the foam will no longer hold it. You must remove all the old fabric, scrape off all the remaining foam and glue a new piece of headliner fabric to the hard shell beneath. Headliner fabric can be found at large fabric shops like Jo-Ann Fabrics, or from auto upholstery shops.

How do you install rear brake pads and caliper on a 94 Honda Accord?

I assume you could not compress the caliber, The caliber on the Accord must be turned while being compressed, There is a special tool for this. Some Auto Parts stores will lend you the tool if you purchase the pads from them. Answer: When buying ammunition, be sure and specify the proper caliber. When buying brake parts for your Honda Accord, you'll need to compress the caliper, not the caliber.
