what has always worked for me is simply unhooking the negative battery cable and letting it sit for a bit. if you are trying to make a maintenance or check engine light turn off, this will only be temporary, your light will come back on.

no it is a different ecu designed for a different engine and different specs and features. one is design for something that the other wont do, the computer wont recognize the car. its like asking a science teacher to teach you math.

its vtec, not vtech, that's a phone company. and i assume by that you mean the best vtec ENGINE to swap into your car. well the best would a k20a type r swap but that'll run you about 10 grand. so how bout you figure out what kind of budget you have to work with then go from there. and are you able to do the work yourself, or will you have to pay someone to do it. most people on budgets who want a quicker setup then their stock d-series go with a b18a1 swap. from there you could go with b18b1, b16a2, b16a jdm sir II, b18c1, gsr b18c, jdm b16b, jdm b18c or usdm b18c5 type r engine. progressively more expensive as you move up the list.

Not to mention "best" could mean one thing to one person, and something else to another. if best simply means fastest then purchase the best engine that you can afford.

bring in the registration or title to the Honda dealer. they can look up the vin and make you a key..

I did it in my 1994 DX Hatch by getting the instruments from a model that had a tach. The instrument cluster plugged right in. Now I have a tach along with a new speedo, and combined temp and gas guages. The wiring is already there and it works like a factory install. I think mine came from an EX, intended for an auto trans, but the lights showing the gear (between the temp and gas guages) simply don't come on. I imagine the same would work in any Civic from at least 1989 on, if not all. What year?

yes. its a good swap but expensive. you will need a transmission ecu and alot of other things. it would be cheaper and i think better just to rebuild and turbo or supercharge your d16y8 engine that comes stock

It's difficult to get a feel for what you mean when you say your engine shakes. Do you mean a regular shake? If that's the case it might be a bad valve, sparkplug, plug wire or injector. If you mean that the engine moves quite a distance when you put it in reverse, but then comes back, it could be a motor mount. When changing rear brake pads on a 1999 Honda Civic safely raise and secure the car. Remove the wheels from both sides. Remove the caliper bracket and old pads. Replace with new pads.

IF its anything like my 98 ex, your best option to do it yourself like i did is to first remove the door panel. then remove the screw that keeps the front track in place. After you have this screw removed you will need to get the window as high up as you can without pushing it too hard.

Then put your hand on the track and reach up as far as you can go. Next you need to use a finger to spread the track open where your hand is, and slowly use the window button to move the window down.

As the window gets near where your finger is you need to push the rubber out enough so that the window can slide back into the track. After you get the window on the inside of the rubber up top move it down more and keep sure with your fingers that it stays inside the rubber track until you reach the bottom. Then screw the track back in the opposite of the way you took it out. Notice the hole for the screw is oblong allowing room for adjustment.

You want to adjust it as far towards the back of the car as you can without putting excess pressure on the door and making it harder for the window motor to push it up.

If you have ever had a seat belt that was all twisted the wrong way and you folded the belt in half while pulling it through the upper loop by the roof to get it to flip over to the correct side the concept is pretty similar to what you are doing here. Simply forcing pushing one of the rubber guide edges out forcing the window to go over it and back into track.

It took me a few tries the first time but you will get the hang of it.

The 2007 Honda Civic has the newer style and more rare "push button" wiper arms. See the Sources and Related Links section below for installation videos and correct attachment and length wiper blades. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages - note that not all wipers will fit on push button arms so be sure to reference the make, model and year of your vehicle for the brand wipers you choose to purchase. Push button compatible wipers are a little bit trickier to find in stores - you may want to purchase online. Locate and press the push button where the wiper blade meets the wiper arm then pull the wiper straight off the arm. Slide the new wiper on the end of the wiper arm in the reverse order. The video below shows this in the reverse order but you'll get it.
