How do you get the radio code for a 2007 Honda Pilot?

First check to see if the dealer (or prior owner) may have written it down somewhere in your owner's manual. If not, I'm told that on the newer model years, that when the word "CODE" is displayed in the tuner window, press buttons 1 and 6 simultaneously. The number that is displayed is the radio serial number. Either call Honda's customer service 800 number, or go to your local Honda dealer - give them the serial number and they should be able to supply you with the unlock code. If that doesn't work you will have to retrieve the radio serial number off the tag that is either on the back or the bottom of the radio case. You will have to slide the radio out of the dash to get to them.

Look in the glove box and it should be located on the side on a white label. If not you can go to the Honda Owners Link and get it once you sign up.

How do you change the fuel filter on Honda CR-V 1999?

This job should be done while the engine is cold and the ignition switch is in the OFF postiion. The filter is located on the firewall of the engine compartment. (1) Relieve the pressure in the fuel system by opening up the gas tank filler cap and opening the fuel line at the fuel filter by loosening the banjo bolt. (2) Place towels around the filter and remove the banjo bolt and unscrew the threaded fitting. Remove the clamp bolt and lift the filter out of the engine compartment. Re-installation is the reverse of removal.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 94 Pontiac firebird and how do i change it?

fuel filter installThe fuel filter is located in the fuel line.Park the car and let it cool off completely. Jack up the rear of the car. It is located just front of the rear axle on the drivers side, where the sub-frame curves up behind the rear seat. No special tools required, just a couple of open end wrenches and a flat head screw driver if I remember correctly.First inspect your fuel lines, if they are rusty, determin if the filter can be removed without breaking the lines, if they contain rust that flakes off of the line have someone with more experince help or take it to a shop, (breaking fuel lines can be costly, and rusty ones can break as easy as if they were made of glass). If your lines are ok all you have to do is unscrew the line on the one end and use the screw driver to unclip the other end, then again with the screw driver push the clip out of the frame holding the filter in place. If your not sure what it looks like go buy the new one first. install the new filter in reverse order and your done. Becareful a fair ammuont of fuel will spill out of the filter and lines, watch for sorces of ignition and safety glasses would be a good idea. When your finished start the car and check filter connections for any fuel leaks. Good luck!

Why do 2000 Honda CRV driveshafts carrier bearings and u-joints break?

Lack of lubrication would be the primary reason. Although another possibility might be that the engine is being over-revved at the time the OB computer senses the need to engage the AWD capability and the shock of the sudden engagement, while being over-revved, snaps the joints.

How do you know if a 1998 Honda CR-V fan sensor has gone bad?

The best sign is if - the temperature gauge goes into the overheated area and the fan doesn't come on. However, that may be a sign of MORE than just a bad heat sensor. The entire electrical circuit for the cooling fan will have to be looked at (i.e: fuse - heat sensor - fan relay - fan motor - has a wire or connector come loose). Any one (or more than one) could have failed. Hondas are notoriously reliable but, let's face it, the vehicle 12 years old.

The 2007-2011 Honda CRV wiper blade sizes are 26" drivers side, 17" passenger side and a special 14" rear wiper that is difficult to find in the stores. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are currently over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.

NOTE: It appears this wiper configuration was changed for the 2012 generation of CRV's...don't assume - look the 2012 up.

You can turn it off by inserting the ignition key into this slot and slightly pushing inward.
