The designations DX, EX, etc. on Honda vehicles specifies what is called the "trimline". There are different features included in different "trimlines".

Other car manufacturers often refer to these combinations of different features as "option packages" instead of "trimlines" (the concept is not identical, but it is similar).

The 2003 Honda CR-V takes a 21" drivers side, 20" passenger side and a fairly specialized 10" rear wiper that is difficult to find in the stores. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are currently over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.

I believe that CR-V production from 2002 model year onward, have engines equipped with timing chains. CR-V's manufactutred prior to the 2002 model year are equipped with timing BELTS. I did NOT do any research on the Accord model line since the CR-V is based on the Civic platform. It can be assumed that the same information applies to the Ciivic model line as well. Remove the bottom change holder, remove the ash tray, pull off the plastic housing under the glove box and the steering column (just enough to see the screws/bolts holding the center console in). There is also a bolt behind the radio (reach up and behind) that has to be removed. The tray under the radio is attached to the radio mounting bracket.

I would seriously recommend a professional do this (not for amateur garage enthusiasts Open the storage box immediately below the radio and air vents (above the A/C controls). In the back of the box remove the small access door using 2 thin flathead screwdrivers inserted in the slots at the top of the access door. Remove the screw behind the access door with a Phillips screwdriver. Pulling gently on the box door, pop the entire box away from the console (there are 2 attachments on either side of the box that will pop free). Remove the 2 Phillips screws from underneath the air vents. Gently pry the entire casing from around the radio by pulling straight out on the air vents. The emergency flasher button is connected by a cord which can be unplugged. Unscrew the 4 Phillips screws holding the radio in place and pull the radio straight out and slightly up (there are bolt heads on the sides of the radio that must clear the plastic, so angle up slightly). The 2003 radio is very easy to access. The hardest part was popping off the plastic faces because I was worried about breaking off the box door and couldn't hold onto much when removing the vent panel, but an amateur could easily do this.

The fuse is located in the fuse panel located under the dash at the lower left edge of the firewall.

On UK RHD models the interior fuse panel is behind the coin drawer that is found on the lower dash below the window switches. You have to take the coin drawer right out to see the fuses. Applies to MkI CR-V to 2001.

Uncertain what is being asked. Yes, you can add anti-freeze to the cooling system in this manner, but not to add any more than just a small amount. If you need to introduce enough anti-freeze into your system in order to winterize it, you should drain, flush, and re-fill the cooling system in the normal fashion.

The Honda Pilot jack may fit - however the jacks that come with the sedan model cars may not have a high enough 'lift' to get the tire off the ground.

There is a "banjo" nut on the top of the filter housing, place a rag over it and loosen it gradually to bleed off the pressure.

On the very bottom underside of the dash panel there are two screws which must be removed to allow the hinges of the glove box to be released from the dash frame - unscrew them. Open the glovebox door and squeeze the sides inward towards each other and remove the entire glovebox from the dashboard.

According to all sources I could find they did not come "stock" with CR-V's in that year. Subsequent model years (2006+) show that they were installed in the rear drainplug of the block just a little behind the oil filter location. Remove the threaded drain plug, and it installs in that hole. The power cord is lashed up and runs to the front of the vehicle.

I searched for a while and ordered a 2" receiver from CURT (curtmfg.com). It fit well with the exception of the muffler tapped on one of the bolts. I extended the rubber muffler hanger with a $5 generic from the auto parts store - perfect. with the 2" receiver, I can use a 'swing-away' bike rack. Ditto. www.trailerhitches.com The Honda hitch is only 1.25" and requires drilling. the Curt is 2" and no drilling. I just put a plastic cap over the offending bolt and it makes no sound when the muffler taps it. I also bought a swing-away bike rack (Thule Trailblazer from rackattack.com). 2002 CR-V Concur with the comments about both Curt being the right choice and the trailerhitches.com souce. I bought my Curt through trailerhitches.com and have been quite pleased with the results on both counts. I must admit that my reason for getting the 2X2 inch Curt over the factory offering was because I already have a bunch of 2X2 inch hitch items, and couldn't see any reason to buy into the smaller size "just because". The Curt bolts right in - no cutting at all. Just to take care of a bit of flexing, though (the CR-V "frame" where the Curt unit bolts into is not what one would call rigid channel steel by any stretch of the imagination)I took it to a welding shop and had the forward edge of the receiver welded to the triangular shipping tie-down. On the Curt, the forward opening of the 2X2 inch receiver fits right over the edge of the tie-down bracket. I had the shop fabricate a metal-to-metal connector that took advantage of the proximity the tie-down bracket without blocking the end (didn't want a pocket for accumulated mud/ice/snow.) I have used the hitch to pull a U-Haul trailer several times, mostly loaded with apartment furnishings for our college-age children. BTW, Curt also makes the CR-V Draw-Tite hitch sold by U-Haul and others. 2004 CR-V. Agree, Curt is the best option for looks, installation ease, 2", and integrity. Regarding Paragraph #1: Instead of an extended muffler hanger (which is basically a big rubber band) it is much easier and exact to just bend the hook from which the hanger hangs to get rid of the bolt interference. Very happy w/mine. Ebay ~135. but I think it came from that same vendor trailerhitches.com. I think they have a pic of installed hitch on crv.
