Why is your fuel gauge reading incorrectly?
An incorrect fuel gauge reading can result from several factors, including a faulty fuel sending unit, which measures the fuel level and communicates it to the gauge. Additionally, issues with the electrical connections or wiring can lead to inaccurate readings. Calibration errors or a malfunctioning gauge itself may also contribute to the problem. Lastly, factors like fuel tank shape or sloshing fuel can cause temporary discrepancies in the displayed level.

What if you use regular gas instead of premium in a gs300 1994?
Using regular gas instead of premium in a 1994 Lexus GS300, which is designed for premium fuel, may lead to reduced performance and efficiency. The engine could experience knocking or pinging due to lower octane ratings, which might result in less power and potential long-term engine damage. While occasional use of regular gas might not cause immediate harm, consistently using lower octane fuel is not recommended for optimal engine health. It's best to adhere to the manufacturer's fuel specifications for the best performance and longevity.

The only thing i would add is that there are a few pins which you should remove from the housing which surrounds the battery "hoodledge" housing. They go across the firewall line. This allows you some more room to wedge the old battery out and the new battery in. As well you'll want to un-clip and move the fuse box from it's mount as it sits right in front of the battery but can be moved to free up a couple of inches of space. As well, i removed the rubber housing which holds the positive wire from it's mount (just slide the rubber up from the metal mount and it slides right out). This also gives you a couple of extra inches of room.
This was a bit of a precarious operation, but I was successful and didn't damage any of the surrounding housing or parts.
btw: I replaced the stock battery with an Optima Yellow top(35) which ended up being slightly smaller.

Can you use 87 octane gas in an Infiniti G35?
"The owner's manual tell you to use higher grade gasoline, but we have been using 87 octane in our gas-guzzling 2006 g35 for 2 years. Our miles per gallon is about the same as with premium, but the cost per mile is significantly less. We do get better fuel economy with 91 or 93 octane on the highway."
The above is a typical scenario; however, when running a higher octane gasoline, what you're really paying for is engine protection. Octane in fuel is something that prevents the fuel from pre-igniting so that the engine runs properly. In the 4 stroke combustion process there is the intake , compression, power, and exhaust strokes. During the compression stroke and air fuel mixture is compressed before a spark plug ignites the mixture to produce the power stroke. If the fuel is of too low an octane rating for the compression in the cylinder, then it may pre-ignite, and cause engine pinging which when constant, can severely damage an engine.
The G35 is equipped with a knock sensor to detect this phenomenon. When the sensor picks up engine knock/pinging, it retards the timing, which allows for less compression by having the spark set-off the air fuel mixture sooner. As a result, you get less power from the same fuel.
Can you use regular in the infiniti m35?
