What do you call someone who hates Muslims?
There has never been a strong, but politically correct word for hatred of Moslems and of Islam in English. The current word is Islamophobe, but this word is weak and does not seem to be on the same level of virulence as Anti-Semitism. The word that used to be that strong in Medieval Europe was Anti-Mohammedanism which is currently politically incorrect because Moslems do not worship Mohammed, but worship God though Mohammed's message (as opposed to Christians who worship Christ).
Many Moslems today use the word "Racist" even though Islam is not a race and has members across every major ethnicity (including small Latino communities).

What were the two main ways that islam spread beyond the arabian peninsula?
The two main ways that Islam spread beyond the Arabian Peninsula were: (1) Conquest and Repression and (2) Trade and Evangelism.
1) Conquest and Repression: When the Islamic Empire would conquer a new territory, they would create a set of benefits of which only Muslims could partake, making a choice to be Muslim tied to choices about economic viability (which trades you could work - especially in government) or tied to choices of social standing. These would strongly weight the choice and produce a steady stream of converts by their very nature.
2) Trade and Evangelism: Muslim Merchants spread Islam simply by being people who go to territories outside of the Islamic Empire and talking to locals there. As a natural part of business dealings, these merchants would discuss their religion and, as inevitably happens, some of the locals desired to convert.
What happened after Islam was founded?
The main event was the split into Sunni and Shia sects on the question of succession. The majority Sunnis held that the Khalifa (deputy) should be chosen by the Companions; the minority Shia (or Ali's party) felt he should be related to the Prophet. (Ali's was the Prophet's son-in-law.)
There is no khaifa at the moment, nor has there been one for hundreds of years, so you'd think that the issue of the dispute was moot, but the groups have grown apart in other ways. For example, the Shia are not so freaked out at the idea of artistic depictions of the Prophet (Muhammed is clearly shown in the Persian miniatures) as the Sunni are.

What is the Percentage of Muslims in china?
According to different sources:
However, the latest statistics of 2013, states that the total Muslim population is at least 150 million. refer to link below.
(A note on the above source stating that there are at least 150 million Muslims in China, that source uses population estimates from the 1940s and 1950s and assumes that Muslim population growth increased at the same rate as China overall - as opposed to taking a current census of Chinese Muslims. This method of estimating a population is extremely flawed, especially in the case of Chinese Muslims for two reasons: (1) Many Chinese Muslims live in Xinjiang Province and the borders between Xinjiang and the former Soviet Central Asian countries were very pourous in the 1940s and 1950s leading to double-counting and confusion national affiliations; and (2) Islam in China was brutally repressed in the Cultural Revolution, which would naturally lead to a decrease in adherents relative to the overall population. Numbers between 20-50 million persons are much more reasonable)
Why were the christians fighting the Muslims?
Muslims have been fighting Christians since the earliest incarnations of Islam. It started before Muslim Turks invaded Jerusalem and ceased the city and the surrounding lands in the name of Islam. The Crusades were started to liberate the Holy Land and to protect Christian Pilgrimages who would go to Jerusalem from all over Europe and Asia Minor. The Templar's and Knights of Malta were two orders charged with this duty. There were arguably 9 crusades all lead by various kings and emperors. In Turkey where one of the Gospels was written is the Patriarch of The Eastern Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Church is the second largest Christian Church in the world and dates back to the apostles. After Constantinople fell to Muslim Invaders (much like Jerusalem) they ceased most church properties and either killed Christians who would not convert or made them pay the jizah which is a tax Muslims make non-Mulsims pay in order to practice their religion. Egypt, Turky, Iran, Iraq, and other "Muslim" countries were all chrisitan countries long before Muslim Turks invaded.

Answer 1
Jizya was a tax imposed on non Muslims in early days of Islam per Quran revelation to prophet Muhammad. The reason of this tax is that non Muslims were not sharing Muslims in defending their lands against the invader. That is why it was imposed on the non Muslims who are subject to participate in the military service but exempted. It is not imposed over women, children, old people, or poor, permanently ill or incapable people.
Answer 2
The jizya tax was a way of singling out and humiliating non-Muslims for their "failure to realize that Islam was correct". In terms of application, each non-Muslim paid a 2.5% per-head poll tax. It was protection money, similar to what one might give to a mobster who runs a neighborhood so that he does not murder your family.
As to non-Muslims not helping Muslims defend against invaders: Aside from the fact that non-Muslims were prohibited from fighting, many non-Muslims, especially Jews in the Muslim world, took on many civic responsibilities that had been abdicated by Muslims who went to fight wars. This is similar to the women who went into the factories in World War II because the "normal" factory workers, the men, went off to fight.
