Every engine is different, and is used and maintained differently, so no one can say how far a engine can go.

That being said, I have seen a few of these engines go over 400.000 miles before, and have seen quite a few go over 300,000 miles.

Unlike timing belts, timing chains are very strong and reliable. I have personally seen 4.0s go 340,000 miles with only changing oil, spark plugs, and a water pump. If it needs to be changed then it is most likely a sign of worse engine problems. My suggestion is to buy a service manual as it requires the disassembly of the front of the motor and is easier to understand with pictures.

It can vary on top brand but Bestops are usually the high priced tops that are very great. They can run just about 700 but the cheaper Pavement Ends tops are cheap but do not last quite as long and poor quality, they run about 500. Id rather waste the extra 200 bucks so i don't have to buy another top in 7 years, most pavement end tops last 3 to 5 years in Florida. Bestop last 7 years in Florida

I would send it to a specialist, because they are a pain to change. There's a whole spring and cable system in there I've never seend before. But, if you do decide to put yourself through the pain, buy a book from a automotive parts store and read through it to figure it out, and ask for a spring compression tool, cause you're gonna need it.

Dana 30 front, dana 35 rear, or could possibly be a dana 44 if so equipped but it was not standard.

No. The Dana 44 rear differential was an upgrade option, and came as part of a package including a limited slip differential. In my 2002 Wrangler Sahara I believe Jeep referred to it as either the Canyon Option or maybe the Off-Road Option.

There should be a diagram on the inside of your fuse box lid. If it's missing than number 27 is in the middle yellow fuse holder, closest to the fender, and closest to the cab.

cut it off with sawsaw and weld a new one in. it also probably has a o2 sensor in it u need to remove it and reinstall it or replace it as well

yes but milage and power will lower and be sluggish, with tires that big go 4.88 gears or whatever you require after checking into gearing with going bigger tires with this type of jeep.

Take off the cover from the back using a Phillips screwdriver. The taillight assembly is bolted on to the body with 3 #10 bolts that you can now see. Take those out. Then you will have a simple electrical quick connect that you will have to disconnect. Pretty simple.
