The air filter is in the air stream to your throttle valve assembly and intake manifold. Its found in a compartment in an air duct to the throttle valve assembly under the hood of your car.

Open the hood, on the right side of the engine behind the battery is a black box. Also by the steering wheel column, check underneath, will be a cover for the fuses, with spare fuses and fuse pliers.

You don't say why you can't get in reinstalled. If it's because it's too heavy. Try renting a transmission floor jack. Put the tank on it and jack it up to height you need.

My 1995 town car has the original factory code (that will always work) on a label in the trunk. I found it on a label applied to the inside metal of the left fender inside the trunk (and I had to pull the trunk liner loose to find it.)

But I have seen many others post they have found the label with orig code on their trunk hinge. Maybe it comes both places and someone prior to me buying the car had removed the hinge-mounted label.

This is for the Ford factory (OEM) radio. There are two small holes on either side of the radio faceplate. Inserting a pair of U-shaped Ford radio removal tools in both sides will release the springclips behind the faceplace and allow the radio to be pulled out sufficiently by the tools to disconnect the plugs and radio antenna from the rear of the radio. If you don't have the Ford radio removal tools (available at almost any autoparts store), you can cut up a wire coat hanger into two ~1-foot pieces and form each into the shape of a 'U' that will fit into the two holes on each side. Insert the wires in about 1/2 inch and then pry outward and pull at the same time on both sides. If the spring clips don't release then try adjusting the depth of penetration into the holes and the amount you pry outward while pulling.

I had the same problem on a 92 Lincoln Towncar. I replaced the headlight switch and all is working again. Replacing the headlight switch requires some patience. It is best to start by removing the positive battery cable end to avoid sparks. Pull out the light switch to the on position and rotate the knob until you see an indented place on the plastic. Insert a hooked object in here to push a tab down and remove the knob. The thin piece of molding that separates the upper dash (instrument cluster and vents) from the lower dash can be gently pried out and removed. This gives access to screws that will allow you some space to remove the nut from around the shaft of the switch. Remove the panel from below the steering wheel. A torx-head screwdriver or bit is needed or a small socket. You will need a light source to look under the dash but you should be able to see the switch. On the bottom of the headlight switch is a small metal button that keeps the rod the knob is attached to from coming out when you pull the light on. Depress this small button ( I used a dowel) while pulling the rod out to remove it. It took me a couple of tries. The fun part is getting the switch itself back far enough for the shaft to clear the dash and getting it down so that you can remove the wires. I suggest having the new switch in hand so that you have feel for how everything works. I couldn't get it to drop down at first because the small plug toward the front has a piece that fits in a hole under the dash(which I couldn't see). I applied an even pressure and was able to get it to pop loose. Some twisting and turning is needed to fit the old switch out but it can be done. Once out, I unplugged the wires ( a couple of screwdrivers is needed) and plugged in the new switch and got it back in with no major difficulty. Remember to save the nut that you took off the shaft to begin. It took me about 1.5-2 hours total. Good luck and don't pull too hard on the wires.

Do you mean the keyless code for the door? Look in the trunk, there may be a sticker on the hinge (I've seen others post about that), or you may have to pull some of the trunk liner loose on the left side and look to see if a sticker or code is on the inside metal of your left fender (I think that's where I found mine...). Never owned one and have never seen one but, Town cars have only SOHC and have never come with a DOHC... So "they" say.

You may have gotten a replacement motor installed in your car and not the original.

There is 2 indent on the side of the ashtray,just put ur fingers in them and may need to wiggle it a bit but it will come straight out.

The gear selector linkages under the dash need adjusting. Or it might be the barrel in the steering column. You have to drop the column to get to it.

The Light Control Module is located under the Dash ,DRIVER SIDE, Above the Gas Pedal , It is anchored by 2 Hex head bolts, Use 1/4"socket driver to loosen them,There are 4 Connectors from engine side connecting them to this LCM ,do not confuse this module with power steering Control module that is located in passenger side . This module has special shape in a Black plastic casing. Open the hood and all the way in the back attached to the bulkhead in the middle you will find the wiper motor.

P0306 means that the cylinder 6 plug isn't firing properly, either due to a bad plug, wire, or coil. I may also involve vacuum leaks or fuel delivery problems, but is usually related to the electrical system. Check out the coil over plug boot, if the car has a lot of miles, it might very well be just the boot leaking due to oil or water intrusion, or a crack in the boot. It is possible that the coil has a short, but it might just be dirty or otherwise crudded up. Hope this helps!

passenger side behind engine cradle, two bolts, 1/2 inch and I think 3/8inch for the one wire to the starter.

If a 1991 Lincoln Town Car will not shift out of first gear, the car should be checked for a vacuum leak. Another item to check is the vacuum modulator which is next to the transmission.
