Difference between post heating and pwht?

post heating : after completion of weld is not cool below to preheat or room temp. further it is heat by applying addition heating system to certain period of time and temperature to evalute hydrogen from weld metal.

What is an example of autogenous welding?

An autogenous weld is one where filler metal is not used for joining.

the weld is produced by fusion of the parts by melting.

It does not use force to bond the parts, only the heat produced which cause melting of the base materials.

What the turbine wheel of turbocharger made of?

I am not for sure if all of them are but my f-250 has a aluminum turbo fan. I am pretty sure all fans would have to be made out of a light material maybe even plastic on some little turbochargers.

Why we use three taps during threading?

As you are aware an HSS tap is so hardened to cut thread in different materials. When hardness of HSS increases lead to sudden failure as it will be brittle. If we cut a thread in its first pass the tap will experience heavy force lead to breakage of tap. In order to reduce cutting pressure the taps are so designed to share the cutting depth hence cutting force. Hence the taps are of First, Second and final cut taps marked with one, two and three rings on its shank to identify it.

What is a straight pull tensile test?

A tensile test machine is designed to give a straight line pull on a member so that it measures only direct tensile stress given as the force applied divided by the member area

Do chainsaws use petrol or diesel?

Chainsaws use a mixture of 80% petrol and 20% 2-stroke oil. You can buy it already mixed, or (more commonly) mix it yourself.

Why is it important to know the moisture content in air entering the boiler?

Since water does not burn, any moisture in the combustion air will simply be heated by the fire. Since water has a large heat capacity, this results in wasted energy. The drier the combustion air the more efficiently the burner will burn.

Why is a scotch boiler called scotch?

The first recorded marine installation of a Scotch boiler was by Randolph, Elder & Co. in the SS

McGregor Lairdin 1862. Having been firdst installed in a Scottish ship, and given that the vast majority of steam and marine engineers were Scots, what else could they call it?

What is the cost of wind turbines?

What does it cost to build a wind turbine? Capital costs for wind projects are $1,500 - $2,000 per kilowatt of nameplate capacity. How does the cost of wind energy compare to other energy sources? Wind-generated electricity has become more economical to produce in the past 10 years, dropping from as much as 30 cents per kilowatt-hour to 4.5 to 7.5 cents, making it more competitive with other energy sources. The cost to develop and build a wind energy facility is approximately $1.3 million to $1.7 million per megawatt, compared to a cost for gas-fired energy generation of $800,000 per megawatt.

Supernatant and pellet?

Supernatant is the clear fluid above a precipitate or sediment. Pellet is a small rounded object, ball, or spherical body.

What are the types of pipe losses?

friction loss

head loss

loss due to sudden enlargement

What is the difference between a standard chest tube and a chest tube with a trocar?

What is the difference between size and shape of an object?

When referring to size, something can be very small or very big. When referring to the shape, an item can be round, square, or even a triangle.

How can i relate the crumple zone to the newton's law of motion?

It increases the time taken for the force from the impact to be distributed to the passengers so the overall force is decreased. It relates to newtons first law about the acceleration of objects.

How many grams in 1 liter of steel?

About 7750 grams to 8050 grams depending on the type.

Is standard for rolling margin of steel?

what is The IS code for rollingmarginof structural steel and % ofallowablelimit as rollingmargin.

Why do you need a steam bypass control valve?

to let the steam pass and avoid an explosion under some undesireable circumstances.

How long does it take for a tire to be manufactured?

For a passenger car it takes about 25 minutes to manufacture 1 tire. This includes both vulcanization and curing processes. For larger off-road or truck tires it could take up to 24 hours or longer to produce a single tire. Its the curing process that takes the most time. The vulcanizing process only takes 10 minutes for a passenger car tire but increases by some minute the larger the size of the tire.

How Two Stroke Single cylinder Petrol Engine Working?

As the piston rises it compresses the fuel-air mixture and simultaneously sucks fuel and air into the crankcase. A little bit after top dead center, the spark plug fires the compressed mixture forcing the piston back down. As the piston travels down, it uncovers the exhaust and intake ports. The fuel-air mixture in the crank case is forced into the cylinder and blows most of the exhaust gas out by the time the piston starts upwards again and covers the exhaust port. The piston continues upwards to compress the fuel-air mixture and the next cycle starts.

What are megatronics?

Megatronics is the technical discipline of creating electronic systems that take up as much physical space as possible. An example is creating a computer that takes up an entire room, to do simple arithmetic. Another example is making the servers that run the Internet large enough to fill the core of the Earth. Megatronics is very popular in Texas.
