Why does my Computer shut down when I try to download a program?
No clue, could be a problem with internet explorer, you could have a Trojan, this is something that needs all the details of the system to solve.
If you have any programs and files that are new, save them to a disk or a flash drive and try using system restore, restore the PC to an earlier date or when it was new.
I had this same problem a while back. Download framework 3.5 and it should work..cheers
Can you delete an Excel workbook and then recover it?
Maybe. You can try to recover Excel file with Easy Excel Recovery software:
See related links.
Even if Excel spreadsheet is deleted, or if was stored on a drive that has been formatted, corrupted, or inaccessible by Windows, Easy Excel Recovery can still help.
What is the difference between compression file and decompression file?
File Compression and Decompression
The NTFS file system volumes support file compression on an individual file basis. The file compression algorithm used by the NTFS file system is Lempel-Ziv compression. This is a lossless compression algorithm, which means that no data is lost when compressing and decompressing the file, as opposed to lossy compression algorithms such as JPEG, where some data is lost each time data compression and decompression occur.
Data compression reduces the size of a file by minimizing redundant data. In a text file, redundant data can be frequently occurring characters, such as the space character, or common vowels, such as the letters e and a; it can also be frequently occurring character strings. Data compression creates a compressed version of a file by minimizing this redundant data.
Each type of data-compression algorithm minimizes redundant data in a unique manner. For example, the Huffman encoding algorithm assigns a code to characters in a file based on how frequently those characters occur. Another compression algorithm, called run-length encoding, generates a two-part value for repeated characters: the first part specifies the number of times the character is repeated, and the second part identifies the character. Another compression algorithm, known as the Lempel-Ziv algorithm, converts variable-length strings into fixed-length codes that consume less space than the original strings.
The NTFS File System File CompressionOn the NTFS file system, compression is performed transparently. This means it can be used without requiring changes to existing applications. The compressed bytes of the file are not accessible to applications; they see only the uncompressed data. Therefore, applications that open a compressed file can operate on it as if it were not compressed. However, these files cannot be copied to another file system. If you compress a file that is larger than 30 gigabytes, the compression may not succeed.
The following topics identify the NTFS file system file compression:
What is full recovery from a Stapedectomy?
Full recovery takes about three weeks but hearing should improve immediately
The methods used to improve performance and automatically recover from a failure are called?
"Collectively, the methods used to improve performance and automatically recover from a failure are called RAID(redundant array of inexpensive disks or redundant array of independent disks).

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a dual boot system?
Advantages. 2 OS's
More compatibility
Share the HDD from other OS
Impress friends
Disadvantages. Have to get 2 HDD's or partition one into two partitions. (takes a long time depending on how big of a partition you make)
Must restart computer everytime you want to change OS
Cant run programs installed on another OS even though you can click on them in the directories. Recommended: You can also use VMware Fusion or parallels and run the 2 OS's simultaneously and switch between the two by a simple keystroke.
Does movie maker need to be loaded on A PC?
Yes. The Windows Movie Maker application needs to be loaded on a PC.
I don't know why it's missing, but you can press F10, it worked for me.
What document item directs a reader to another location in a document by mentioning its location?
bookmark
On facebook how can you make YoVille full screen?
you cant, but you can reduce the monitors resolution this will make the image bigger. If your using a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor try setting it to 800 x 600 it fits nicely in the screen at that. If you have lots of those silly tool bars installed you might want to hit F11 key to full screen the browser.
Does foil on windows make house cooler?
Much-but it also blocks the light. Day sleepers use this trick all the time.
Most popular software development kit?
This entirely depends on what you are trying to build, but here are some suggestions on what to include:
Since this is listed under Windows, I would say Microsoft Visual Studio.
For Java or Linux development, use Eclipse.
For XML/XSLT, use oXygen and RenderX.
For PHP, use Zend Studio with XAMPP.
Other options:
Delphi (Pascal)
Dreamweaver (HTML)
I usually combine this with a set of image editors (Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP, Fireworks)
and some quick editors (Notepad++)
I think the ultimate development kit should contain a lot of this kind of tools. Hope it helps.
What is s switch used for in format disk?
The "-s" switch in the format command is used to format the disk so that it is a "system" disk. In other words, it makes it a "bootable" disk.
VLC table is to increase error resilience. In particular, if one separates the motion vectors from the DCT coefficients and apply horizontal prediction, one can increase error resilience by using backwards decodable VLCs also known as Reversible Variable length coding (RVLCs). This data partitioning is not going to happen in H.263+, but is likely to be an option in H.263++. It is therefore desirable to try to construct the new VLC table as a RVLC table. Thus, we RVLCs usually applied only to motion vectors. If you wanted to reduce the bitrates impact, uncorrectable errors arise, the predictive coding methods, such as motion compensation, make matters much worse because the errors in one video frame quickly propagate across the entire video sequence and rapidly degrade the decoded video quality.Reversible VLC's can be used to increase resilience to channel errors. If an error is detected while decoding in the forward direction, motion vector data are not completely lost as the decoder can proceed in the reverse direction; this improves error resilience of the bit stream. Furthermore, the motion vector range is extended to up to [-256, + 255.5] depending on the picture size. This is very useful given the wide range of new picture formats available in H.263+.
