Why will no passive mobs spawn yet agrressive mobs do?
Passive mobs need light to spawn, and they only spawn on grass. If the aggressive mobs are spawning, then it must be night and the passive mobs will only spawn near torches, pumpkins, glowstone, etc.
However, Notch MAY have fixed this in 1.6, but I'm not sure.

Not really as far as I know.
You can "Make Alias" (on a Mac) of the file and put it where you want it tho. It doesn't move the file it just makes a pointer of where it's at. (In Windows you "Create a Shortcut") "Right click" gives you the menu.
Why is it ever since Minecraft 1.7.4 you haven't been able to change your skin?
It should be working now. Mojang was redoing how they store the skins on their web site and mentioned it would take a few days to get it done.
If not then look in some of the Minecraft forums and see if any one else has the same problem.

If you are talking about just Minecraft with no mods and just the vanilla game you don't need anything but the game. If you need to download a mod just look up tutorials on YouTube on the mod you are installing and specify that the installation is for mac or you'll get a PC one.

A good amount of RAM for the average amount of players would make a Minecraft Server good (i.e. 512MB RAM=5-10 Players, 1GB RAM 15-20 Players, 2.5GB RAM=50-60 Players, 5GB RAM= 100-150 Players should make it generally lag free).
Several plugins and mods would also add to the Minecraft experience (i.e. Factions, capture the flag, WorldGaurd, etc.)
A friendly staff would usually be appreciated. Would you rather have a staff that ignores you, that is rude, and just wants your money, or would you rather have staff that helps you, fixes problems, or makes the server fun?

I do believe there is only one kind of Creeper. Just Stab it with a sword then jump back in case it explodes. then repeat. Until its dead. If it doesn't drop gunpowder try another creeper. Just like Pigs and cows ect. It won't always drop something

no not that i know of but download magic launcher and download the .zip for tmi or too many items and modloader and go to setup and add then look for the files and double click them and that should do the trick

If you are talking about a webpage, then this happens becauuse the page is coded this way. It is, most likely, done by JavaScript. The code says when the moves pointer rolls over me send the viewer to a different page. The only way this can be stopped is by turning off JavaScript in the Tools->Internet Options menu. Open this and click on the "advanced" tab on the extreme right. There should be somewhere you can check "Disable JavaScript". If you can't do this, the best you can do is not rollover the link.

Well, first you need to do research on the forums or their website to see if it is white list.( They select you personally.) You need to get white listed or register to play that. If it is not white list, search for the server name.
Usually on the website or advertisement on the forums or lists it will often state that it is online or "pinged." If it's online then maybe they changed their address or ip number, or the bandwidth drained out from too many players, or there isn't a slot left. If it is offline, the owner is offline or shut it down, banned people, or restarted and is updating.
