What is the difference between heterogeneous and homogeneous?
== == You probably mean heterogeneous and homogeneous. The difference is in the mix. Homogeneous substances are evenly proportioned through the entire substance while heterogeneous substances have varying concentration (like toothpaste with stripes). Yes, the same is when these prefixes are used to describe sexuality. Homo is same and hetero is different.

How do you reset the Nissan maxima's 2005 sunroof?
I tried a combination of these and mine started working. I'm not sure what actually did it, but hopefully this helps someone save a trip to the dealer.
Option 1:
Try this:
Keep car off. Relay near driver side kick panel. If you can't find it turn car on. Flip sunroof switch till you hear the relay. Once you've found it, turn car off. Unplug relay. Turn car on. Turn car off. Plug relay back in Sunroof should work. That easy, even though my instructions seem complicated.
Option 2:
If not that then try this:
just press the "tilt forward" button until you hear a click....problem fixed
Option 3:
If that still doesn't work try:
1. Close your sunroof all the way.
2. Turn off your car.
3. Disconnect your battery.
4. Turn on your lights, and step on your brakes. Do it like 10 times. (You are basically draining the system.)
5. Hook up your battery.
6. Tilt your sunroof up, then back down.
7. Pull back on the slide lever. It should be fixed.
It's basically like rebooting your computer.
Option 4:
The reset procedure for the sunroof on my 02 Maxima is to tilt the sunroof open then tilt it closed again. Once closed hold the tilt close button for a few seconds. This resets the slide control. If your sunroof is stuck in the open position you can use the tilt open/close to wiggle it back to closed.
Option 5:
The way you Re- program the roof is by hitting the roof button so it opens it up all the way. Than close the roof in the same manor. By doing it a couple of time it will re program the roof. It takes about 5 minutes. That amount of work is definatley not worth $900.

How do you repair a window regulator in a Nissan Maxima '91 and is it a very difficult task?
The window regulator is quite easy to replace. First of all figure out if you need just the regulator or the motor as well... You can buy the regulators for about $28 online (closer to $80 with the motor).
Here's a link to full step-by-step instructions including pictures:
http://www.a1electric.com/maximareg.htm
(Remember, 1989 - 1994 Maximas are all the same)
It might take you a little while on the first one to figure out just which way to bend everything to get it out, but by the fourth window you'll be a pro ;) Those regulators seem to last exactly 15 years, all mine went within 6 months of each other on my 90 Max last year, so if one is going you can probably count on the rest going in the near future. We can all thank Nissan for the decision to use plastic pully parts combined with a rough metal wire...
Good luck =)

How do you fix an electric window in a 1994 Nissan Maxima if it will go down but won't go back up?
Replace the motor. Not and easy job. Get a manual on your car to do the job right.
If the window motor still works then you might have to replace the window regulator. That is a common problem in the 3rd generation maxima (89-94). Hopefully this was able to help you.
How do you replace a starter on a 98 grand marquis?
Where is the Ambient air temperature sensor located on a Nissan maxima?
I have a 2003 Maxima SE. The ambient air temp sensor is yellow and it is located inside the grill under the hood latch - between the round bells for the horn. You will need a pair of plyers to hold the top of the yellow piece and a small flat screwdriver to push the little tab that hold the two parts of it together. Good Luck!
Can you change just the blade in windshield wiper on a Nissan Maxima?
I'm going with the assumption that this question is asking about what are commonly called the rubber blade refill inserts rather than the wiper blade which is everything attached to the wiper arm; blade and frame.
Most likely yes - you can just replace the rubber insert however in most cases I don't recommend it, especially if you live in cold winter weather climates which puts a lot of stress on the entire wiper blade or you live in a climate where you use your wipers quite a bit. The difference in price, mechanical skill (and patience) between installing refill inserts and full wiper blades is relatively small. If you replace the whole wiper blade, its cheap insurance that your blades will perform better when you most need them.
How do you change power steering belt for 2000 Maxima?
I'm working on it as we speak - it is a difficult job and I have a lot of tools and am fairly experienced. I got the new belt on but am having trouble getting the tensioner assembly back together. Carve out a day. If you're a novice, consider taking it in. The accessory belt in front of it is a piece of cake. 1) Loosen the nut on the idler pulley, 2) back off the tensioner with a 14mm socket gently (directly on top of the tensioner puller). 3) Back off the tensioner aways to make room for the new belt.
BiggDogg357:
It takes about thirty minutes to do both belts on the two belt configuration. Remove the passenger side tire and any covers. Loosen the idler pulley nut then go back up top and loosen the tensioner, this will allow you to remove the AC/alternator belt. From underneath you must loosen the power steering pump bolt on the back (if you have a racheting 14mm wrench it makes the job easier) then loosen the top bolt on the tensioner, then loosen the adjustment bolt on the bottom of the tensioner. Installation is reverse order.

Where is eccs relay on 2000 maxima?
The ECCS relay on a 2000 Nissan Maxima is typically located in the engine compartment fuse box. It is responsible for controlling the power supply to the engine control module (ECM) and other related electronic systems. To access it, open the hood and locate the fuse box; the relay should be labeled in the diagram on the cover. Always consult the owner's manual for the exact location and diagram for clarity.
What is the problem if a 1993 Nissan Maxima is shaking while idling?
May be that one of the cylinders is not firing. Check spark plugs for oil/any other obvious damage.

Where is the PCV valve located on a 1999 Toyota Tacoma?
http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/tacoma_4runner_30k/maintenancep5.html Link explains where PCV valve is, how to test it !!!!
look under the driver side arm rest on the door - I could not find mine on a 98 Maxima for two weeks. Generally on driver side either on the door or on the floor by the seat controls. On my 95, it's a lever that you push down to open the gas cover and pull up to pop the trunk. On a 2000, it's on the door and you pull it out.
Where the module of the air bag is located for a Nissan Maxima 2001.?
Where the module of the air bag is located for a Nissan Maxima 2001.
It's located under the center console.
If only one beam isn't working, it probably isn't the relay. More likely, it's in either the harness or the wiring.
