Trouble code P1494 means: Leak detection pump pressure switch or mechanical fault

Trouble code P1456 means: Evaporative emissions control system leakage (fuel tank system)

some times they set by themselves after a few starts, but the best way to turn off is by a obd2 scanner. until the light is turned off the computer gets the info that the part is still bad by the signal. so it is best to turn off by scanner.

The OBD codes P1232 and P1244 on a Duramax 6.6 diesel could mean that the surge wire is mis- firing. Check to see if there is chafing on the chuggle connector circuit.

Fuel system bank one lean can be caused by many things. Low fuel pressure is very common. Intake leaks, malfunctioning oxygen sensors are other causes. While water in the fuel could, you should see rough running complaints along with the code.

The diagnostic plug is under the dash on the driver side.

The error code is only speedo related. The vss circuit or memory which is stored in an integrated cicuit on the rear of the speedo is somehow out of calibration or the circuit is damaged. You should bring your truck to the dealer to have it reprogrammed. Their seems to be some good advice online but the problem is you only have 6 tries to get it right or the memory cache will be full and the speedo unit will need replacement. Good luck

Trouble code P0700 means:Transmission control system malfunction

Cylinder #2 missfire.

So Compression check, Spark Check, Check for fuel delivery

Trouble code P0420 means: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

hook up the OBD-II scan tool to the Data Link Connector in your car, it will give you a code, and depending on the type of diagnostic tool you have, will give you the meaning of the code, if it doesnt tell you what it means, you will have to look it up. You can either fix the problem and let the car go through the warm up cycles itself and erase the code and turn off the MIL (the right way), or you can just erase the code with the scan tool (easy way out..not suggested)

Check the O2 sensor(oxygen sensor) AFTER the catalytic converter

Most cars used to turn on all the warning lights when the starter was cranking the engine. This is a check mode so you can see they work.

If you want more time to see, put the car in drive, put your foot on the brake and turn the key, the lights should all come on but the engine should not crank.

For manual trans cars leave your foot off the clutch in Nuetral. Same effect.

Means sensor 1 bank 1 no activity detected.

WHat is happening is the ECM thinks the sensor is hooked up but is not getting a reading from the sensor.

So the sensor is:

Bad

Is actually unpluged because the ECM can't tell the difrence.

Has a broken wire in the harness.

I have seen the Sensor has rotted out of the pipe and is hanging on the wires.

Trouble code P1172 means: Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor (sensor 1) circuit out of range high

Incorrect vehical imobilizer code:

It means that the elctronic key in use is not talking to the computer correctly.

It may be as simple as the battery in the key is dead or it could be you need to buy and have a new key programed.

It is also remotely possible the computer box for this function has died. So a trip to a properly equeped repair shop is needed.

My local Retail Car Parts Store can sell and program a key to the vehical about $60.00 cheaper than the dodge dealer.

I have a 2002 Ford sport Trac I have a code of P0320. Do you know the part number to fix this? Seems when the engine warms up, during driving, the truck stalls & sputters & then quits when I brake or come to a full stop. It starts right up again, then stalls when shifted into drive. Had fuel module replaced & airflow cleaned. What else can it be? Was told by a handheld device, was P0320.

The data link connector is under the dash on the driver side.
