Which make pancakes rise baking soda or baking powder?
There is moisture within the cake batter before it is baked. This comes mostly frow water, but also from milk and eggs and oil. As the cake is baked, the heat rises. This causes the moisture in the cake batter to turn to steam. Steam rises, but there is no place for it to escape. This causes the cake to puff up. Also, when the liquid cake batter cooks into a solid, it does naturally expand slightly, too.
You want to make sure that the pancake is entirely cooked on its one side so that it won't stick. To make it actually leave the pan and flip in the air, you need to lift the pan off the burner and jerk it away and then up and towards you. How do you make pancakes without buttermilk?
A simple recipe that takes 5 minutes :D
What you need;
Flour
Water
Egg
Butter or Margarine
Sugar
One large mixing bowl
Spatula or wooden spoon
Fry Pan
Quantity;
x1 cup - Flour
x1 cup - Water
x1 egg
Okay! All you need to do is get one large mixing bowl and place in one cup of flour, one cup of water and one egg, now mix until a consistent moisture (do not over mix!)
If you want to add sugar (like me!) then add Half a Cup of sugar or as much as desired! Then mix that in then you have finished making your mixture!
Now heat up your fry pan and melt either butter or margarine onto your pan then when the pan is heated add in however much mixture you would like!
Tip; What I do for a golden butter flavour then when frying your mixture add to the PAN butter around the rims of the mixture move around until your see a golden bubbles around the mixture which is what would happen normally but not with the golden affect :D
Hope you like!
Wait there's one more step ;
EAT :D and enjoy !!
