you probable have a fuel draining back to the tank try pumping your fuel primer then it should start almost straight away if so then you have a air leak or your nonreturn valve has gone on the fuel filter

I believe it should be located on the drivers side of the dash.It should be visible with the door open and look strait at that end of your dash hope this helps. T-RODDER I finally found it. It is behind a little panel (four screws) right under the steering colum. Thanks.

I have the same problem, but you can stop it by selecting the air recirculation button. Had the same on a 405 as well. No idea what causes it.
