Pigs

(a) Pigs did not always smell funny. There was a time when they emitted an enticingly fragrant odour, but unfortunately this drew unwanted attention from other species, many of them larger than the pigs themselves. It is even thought that there was a time when humans were frequently attracted to pigs, which could explain why so many porcine organs are so similar to human ones. Many of these attempts at cross-breeding resulted in disaster, and some of the products were really quite monstrous. For their survival as a species pigs gradually developed an odour which would be offensive to all other species and yet appealing to their own kind. It is even thought that the human penchant for eating ham and bacon could be a vestigial practice redolent of those earlier times. (b) They smell 'Funny' probably because of the fact they spend time in the mud, And mud might be mixed with some other animals Dung-(poop)-Please don't think that pigs are dirty because... pigs are very clean animals that do not have sweat glands and need some way to cool off. I hope I helped. (C) I worked at a ranch and when the petting zoo animals needed a care during the off season, they were brought to the main barn.

Among these animals where potbelly pigs. the horses adjusted to the sheep and goats and even the jersey calf. But not to the pigs! the reason is that a pig has no smell and this confuses the horses thus making them scared of these wee little addition to the barn. You see potbelly pigs are easy to potty train and clean up after , so their quarters were spotless.

When the stall was not clean however the strong odor comes from how quickly porcine (pig) metabolize the food they eat. pigs metabolize what they eat in less that 24 hours this is why you cook pork well to reduce the risk of getting more of what the pig ate then you bargined for.

Guinea pigs looooove fruits and vegetables, which is great because fruits and vegetables are an important part of their diet and keep them happy and healthy!

Different guinea pigs have different preferences, but generally, they love to sample a variety of different fruits and veggies. With my guinea pigs, carrots, peppers and dark lettuces are a surefire hit. If you encounter a guinea pig that is picky and won't eat any fresh produce, talk with your veterinarian about your options for vitamin C fortified pellets to make sure you get the right nourishment into your little friend.

Here is a list of just some of the fruits and vegetables that guinea pigs eat and that give them the best nutritional benefits. Fruits are high in sugar so it's best to view them more as treats, and avoid any sudden major changes in diet until you know how your guinea pig's tummy reacts to things:

• Red Pepper (or green/yellow pepper. Red has the highest vitamin C concentration)
• Carrots - both the root and the green tops are perfectly safe for your guinea pig.
• Apples - just make sure they don't have any seeds.
• Oranges
• Leafy greens like red lettuce, romaine, Boston lettuce, (be sure to feed leafy vegetables in moderation to avoid diarrhea, and feed spinach a bit sparingly to avoid potential kidney problems.)
• Cucumbers
• Broccoli (in moderation since it can be gassy and cause a gas pain)
• Green beans
• Grapes
• Bananas
• Dandelion Greens
• spinach (in moderation)
• cherry tomatoes (in moderation)
• cilantro
• parsley - either curly or flat. They love it and it smells delicious when you're tearing some sprigs off the bunch to give it to them!

( in other words its very bad for them)

"Pig" DNA is most similar to Human DNA..No one knows WHY?

Pig skin is similar to human skin in terms of color, hair follicles,

and subcutaneous fat. That's all I know... and pig skin is thin human skin is thicker so pig skin isn't that much like human skin

Porcine polyserositis is a synonym for GLASSER'S disease, known also as Infectious polyarthritis. Caused by Haemophilus parasuis.
