What subjects do you need to become a mechanic?
In the USA, if you want to work on cars and motorcycles, you will need to become a journeyman or master mechanic, which requires an Associate of Arts (AA) or a Bachelor of Science (BA), respectively, in Automotive Technology or the equivalent. This holds true for most countries. There are also trade schools that offer fast tract courses you can take, which prepare you for the ASE exams, depending on the country you live in, which in the USA set the standards for the industry and are recognized throughout the nation. Some countries require you to be an apprentice for generally 4000 hours. In the USA, if you have 4000 hrs as an apprentice, you can challenge the ASE exams.
Here is a list of courses and certifications that you will need, be it college, trade school or apprenticeship: A1 -- Engine Repair A2 -- Automatic Transmission/Transaxle A3 -- Manual Drive Train & Axles A4 -- Suspension & Steering A5 -- Brakes A6 -- Electrical/Electronic Systems A7 -- Heating & Air Conditioning A8 -- Engine Performance A9 -- Light Vehicle Diesel Engines and in some states in the USA an L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, to be a state licensed emissions inspector. You don't have to have all 10 of the certifications to be a journeyman level technician. But keep this in mind; in the US, with most companies in general, each certification earned usually comes with a pay raise. In some cities it is the difference between $15.00 and $50.00 an hour

How many pilots killed in Vietnam?
During WW2 & and possibly Korea, the US military utilized some ENLISTED MEN as pilots. By Vietnam, all US Military pilots were officers. Therefore: approximately 6,600 US Military officers were killed in the war. The USAF lost about 2,584 men and the USN lost about 2,555 men. The USAF and USN together lost well over 2,000 fixed wing aircraft. The US Army lost well over 8,000 rotor-wing aircraft. Approximately 2,000 US UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopter crewmen died in the war. Figuring 10,000 plus shot down aircraft/6600 dead officers/subtracting the ground officers (US Army/US Marine Corps/US Navy Riverine Forces/etc)...an educated calculation of US military pilots killed in the Vietnam War would be between 2,000 and 3,000 Airmen.
A numbered hourly overhaul of aircraft or engines. Ie 40 hr overhaul, 100 hour overhaul.
How would a trial separation be a benefit if one person wants children and the other does not?
This is so strange, because my girlfriend's daughter is going through the same thing. She was going with a really nice guy who had 2 teenage daughters (the daughters liked his new girlfriend.) This girl does not have children of her own and was honest in telling her new boyfriend that she wanted children in the future. He had no problem with this at the beginning, but after 4 years she wanted an engagement ring on her finger and plans for the future. The guy couldn't handle it and broke the news to her that he didn't want anymore children. They separated and he did call her back and wanted to take her out for dinner, but she stood her ground and told him unless he had changed his mind about starting another family with her she was not coming back to him. To date, they have not been in contact and that's 2 months ago. Sometimes a trial separation will benefit you because each person can take the time to reflect on what they want in life. Children aren't for everyone. Some men are terrified of starting a family. Be sure you let him know that you just don't want to rush in to rais a family, but do want children eventually. There is that old saying ... "If you love something set it free and if it doesn't come back to you it wasn't meant to be." I know you must feel heartbroken and it is a great risk, but, it's best to find out now than later. Good luck Merry Christmas Marcy

just like u, i went around asking ppl this question days ago :D
after a bit of a research i figured out that even though OFFICIALLY there is a requirement of 170 cm, (this may vary) this rule is almost never followed. All that the aviation industry checks is that whether u can completely reach all the pedals and the switches with ur legs.........even if u r 4'11 and u r capable of doing that, only then they'll b interested in u as well....

If u dont light right away turn off and wait 5 minutes. Then try again, when pilot is depressed hold lighter above where gas line goes to center of heater. Is an air filter provided in asi or turn and bank indicator in aviation instruments?
A turn and bank indicator is electric and does not require vacuum. as far as an ASI? Is the acronym correct?
AnswerThe ASI (airspeed indicator) has a pitot tube input and static air input. It measures the difference in pressure between the two and air does not flow through the instrument, so no air filter would be required. The vacuum pump driven by the engine, works the AI, (artificial horizon) and directional gyro. There is a small filter under the instrument panel, replaced annually i think.

That depends entirely upon the airline you work for. The airline I'm familiar with starts junior pilots out at a minimum of $2700 per month and senior pilots can make in the neighborhood of $15,000 per month based on 90 hours of flying. Until the recent economic crunch in the airline industry, senior pilots at some major airlines were making in excess of $300 per hour.

They can and there are, but usually when an officer hits the rank of Captain in the Navy, they're moved up to command level, as opposed to the operational level. Essentially, when a Navy Commander is promoted and is still flying, they're not kept there for that long.
