A bad wheel bearing does not sound like a jet engine. It is more of a grinding noise. If you only hear this during acceleration, I would suspect your breather intake is loose or disconnected. Unload the bearings by swerving right and left. If the noise disappears then you may indeed have a bad bearing. In other words if you swerve right and the noise disappears, suspect a bad right wheel bearing, etc.

Back in the days of asbestos brake pads, you could get 80,000 miles or more out of the pads (well, I did on my Rover Metro, the first car I ever had with disc brakes - disc is correct English for what Americans call rotors), whilst the discs remained in perfectly good condition. But asbestos has been banned, and rightly so. Modern brake pads have metal particles in the friction material - or may even be made from sintered metal. The bonus is that modern pads have greater friction and will stop you far and away quicker than the old asbestos ones. The downside is that most pads and discs now wear out together, and must be replaced as a full set. Brake manufacturers are getting on to this and are packaging pads and discs together as a set. Mintex, for instance, package their sets under the name "Brake-in-a-Box".

I've got a '91 firebird formula. Order the lights from a part store, got mine from discount auto. put the headlights up, unscrew and remove the headlight casings unplug the old lights and put in the new - replace the casings. if you can't do it yourself, they're likely to do it for free at discount auto. and if you feel your headlights are aimed right, take it to a mechanic.

There are no 2ohm voice speakers that I know of, so your sound output will be slightly lower with aftermarket speakers.

If you dont have Monsoon, then you have 6.5" 4 ohm speakers, standard replacements apply.

the dont make one you can get one made though but it has to be custom made from scratch and it is specialy made to fit the car and its going to cost alot

there are lil Allen wrench screws behind the little black housing that's covering the rest of the headlight once it flips up. take that thign off and youll see those lil screws..when you twist them in or out...it raises or lowers the light..

it may be the chip in your key

Turn the key to the "on" position, don't need to start it. Press and hold the trip button in for about 12 seconds or so until the change oil flashes then shuts off. Should be gone when you start it. I think it comes on every 5,000 miles...

The fusible link on most any GM engine is the last few inches of the small wires running to the starter. It looks like any of the rest of the wiring but is designed to "melt" if there is a major problem or short to safeguard the rest of the vehicle's wiring.

There is no "small block" , "big block" with Pontiac engines. The physical size is the same from 326ci to the 455.

Yes...in fact, there were several of them that were factory built with a small block Chevy. You'll have to move the frame mounts for the engine. The holes will already be drilled in the frame. I don't know which engine you are taking out, or if the frame mounts will be the same. Worst case, you go swipe a set from a 70-81 Camaro. Other than a little wire re-routing, it's fairly simple.

Unless I am sadly mistaken, Pontiac built zero. The 455HO (round port heads) were never made again after the 1972 model year. In 1973 and 1974 the Hi-Po 455 was the Super Duty which was offered in the Formula, but is very rare as a factory build. The late 70's "HO" used d-port heads. I currently own a '72 Formula, and have bought and sold several '70 - '72 Firebirds, Formulas, and Trans Ams stating over 30 years ago.

Maybe your air filter or plugs and wires.

Or maybe your MAF sensor or your IAC valve needs cleaning.

not serviceable but now you can buy a regulator rebuild kit otherwise you will have to buy the entire fuel rail assembly

drop the tank and take the old pump out then put the new one in

The Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro from 1993-2002 have factory 16x8 inch wheels. 16x7 wheels will have to be custom fabricated to safely fit the unique backspacing and hub pattern of these cars.

Begin by removing the oil from your oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Put a new gasket on your new oil pan and reverse the process.

* check in the trunk left side . there maybe a small red button on the side just push it . * The fuel pump relay is located on the engine driver's side of the firewall. It is held by a bracket with two other relays-primary and auxiallry fan. The fuel pump relay is between the 2 relays. It should have a test lead extending from the connector.

Just the engine... it will depend on the year and if it is complete in running condition or needs rebuilt.
